Just wondering if anyone would know if there's any recreational drug in Australia that contains Methaqualone. It's similar to barbiturates, 'a general CNS depressant'. Also been dubbed the "alternative love drug" and seeing as I love my x, I thought it could be fun.

I don't know a hell of a lot about this substance, I just stumbled across the Wikipedia article on it the other day - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methaqualone.

Can anyone tell me anything more or if there's any backyard jobs floating around?

I thought the same thing firewarner. I've done a few Google searches, but not much has turned up in the way of it's Australian availability. People have to be careful what they say, obviously. Hence the post here...

Anyone?

"We could like, jumpstart his heart, or party later." I love quaaludes, can't find em' anymore unfortunately. Poppers either. :(

Goddamn it. Seems I've lucked out on this one...

Anyone know of any other "love drugs"? I'm really interested in alternatives to ecstasy.

GHB is a love drug IMO but you have to be careful with it, its not like MDMA where you can eat it like candy you have to know your limits with this stuff.

But Nothing has ever made me as lovey dovey and nice as GHB.

Thanks ketaman! The perfect response. I've read about GHB before. Sounds like lots of fun. If anyone has any useful info on it, feel free to post links.

Any other alternatives people have tried? :)

First time I had Hawaiian Baby Wood Rose seeds, it felt VERY similar to X. The next few times though, completely different.

I don't know if you're gonna find many alternatives to X. It's pretty unique ;)

I find I have a lot more love and empathy for people when I'm on opiates. I tend not to just sit around and nod out, I like to go out and socialise with people. Until I comedown...

I wouldn't recommend you start using opiates though :)

Qualudes feel nothing like X.....

Ok, well why don't you say something more, instead of just some random off-hand statement with no back up whatsoever.

I'm interested in information not just one statement opinions. If I wanted those I'd go and talk to a junkie.

A random off-hand statement? It's pretty well known that Quaalude's are more like euphoric alcohol in a pill then MDMA. As for information, why don't you just go into Google and type 'Methaqualone' + 'N-acetylanthranilic acid' + 'o-toluidine' and see what you find.

PS: Don't do that, actually.

Qualuudes are more like benzos or barbituates than MDMA, not even mild similarities. Methaqualone is only available in South Africa as far as I'm aware, and I believe it's in a pharm tablet combined with Diphenhydramine. It's a CNS depressant, highly addictive, euphoric, not much more I can say about it really. There's heaps of info out there though so maybe you should've searched before you posted this thread...
