Alcohol Low dose Phenobarb (taper) with alcohol

Down to taking 15mg phenobarbital 2 times a day, at the lower end of my phenobarb taper.
I was safley able to take norco with this low dose pheno, and I have been told it is not as dangerous as other short half life barbs, can I drink on this low dose?
 
Phenobarbital is a long acting barbiturate and has a relatively long half-life. Wikipedia says 53-118 hours. I was on a phenobarb taper when I was in treatment for alcohol; 22 days after the last dose they gave me it was still detected in my urine screenings.

Without knowing where your alcohol tolerance is it is impossible to know how safe a combo like this would be. One or two beers would probably be fine but phenobarb stays in your system for such a long time that unless you wait a week or something from your last phenobarb dose there will almost certainly be some synergy/potentiation of the alcohol.
 
ok thanks i had 2 shots but i wont go past that. I can already tell it would be dangerous, wont be drinking on this taper.
