Forgive me for being a FOB but I'm curious on your expierience/advice on injecting after you've washed your dope(acetone)
What steps and safety practices if any did you do?
 
You need to completely evaporate the acetone. Pure/dry acetone should fully evaporate leaving nothing behind. You shouldn't use cheap hardware store stuff, it'll probably be a lot harder to get clean.
