Opioids Is cutting Nucynta ER safe?

I have 150mg Nucynta ER. They are prescribed to take twice a day. The effects got me hard for the first two hours and I have zero effects by the fifth hour. I would like to cut the dose and take it more frequently until I can get back in to see my doc but have read so many warnings online about od. I have been on many other opiates, all instant realease.

Does anyone know anything about this?
 
Cut it into quarters. Test a tiny piece out. Quarter the quarters. That's what i'd do if I was in your position. If there's some warning that says that's a dumb idea, then forget it. I mean if you eighth your pill, I doubt it would hurt you.
