So I've used heroin two nights in a row now what i want to know is how many days til it fucks with my libido? Second day i tried shitloads sniffed and i felt nothing so it's a shit batch but i like it cos it puts me to sleep

Say goodbye to your sex drive lol. If the high is worth it to you then have no worries. No one can touch opiates without losing something. It's an equivalent exchange of some sort or another. At least as a female user you don't have to worry about erectile dysfunction like men have to.

You'd totally get the libido back if you quit, though.

One of the most common opiate side effects right up there with constipation. Since you only used it for two days you can just stop using it and your sex drive will be back within a day most likely. If you end up with a habit it gets much more difficult.

I think men with naturally absurdly high testosterone don't necessarily have this issue like others do but this is just theorizing on a forum about substances so it has no merit.

I definitely avoid any sexual activity while under the effects of this class of drug.. it just makes your erections less hard and you'll take eons to cum as a male. I was absolutely shocked to see some men with premature ejaculation issues taking oxy before sexual activity to last longer in bed o_O I kind of like the lowered sex drive because I feel like an intellectual lol. Otherwise, I'm just too horny to think.

A lot of chronic pain patients just probably assume it's another medication in the beginning, but then they realize that you can't put opiates in your bodies without giving up so much. I *believe* opiates unhinge the same mechanic in the brain as when one orgasms so that explains why it at times feels similar/the brain feels that it is already sexually satisfied. I wish someone who fully knows the mechanics of opiates down to a science would enter this thread and explain why it affects hormones/the brain in this manner.

Some opiate abusers use meth to obtain their sex drive back. Now you've got two incredibly addictive substances to kick instead of one lol.

Opiates do decrease testosterone levels. I have no idea what my t levels actually are but my sex drive without opiates is pretty high (have to be to keep up with my gf haha) so it doesn't seem low. So I think it's just opiates being opiates. It does depend on dose and strength of the opiate though. Codeine only causes a slight reduction while oxy obviously causes more. Higher doses also stay in your system longer.

I have used Viagra on oxy before tho and that did the trick.

Some people on opiates have been tested for testosterone levels and still end up being pretty standard on the hormone spectrum for men. They do decrease testosterone, but I wonder why more so in certain men than others. It may only show up on a levels reading test after prolonged use for many years. That however I do not know. My friend and I have had normal testosterone levels even during the peak of our use. But for sure when I'm on opies of any nature for a couple of hours the thought of sex does not really cross my mind. My libido is fine after the effects have died down.

I think strength of the opioid, dose used, and duration of use all play a big part. If someone is scripted say 120mg codeine a day it will probably have very little effect for most guys. But the same dose of oxy is likely to have much more an effect especially if it's being used chronically for months and months.

Should catch up with you in a week or so, take some days off if ya can. I took forever to come as well. Strangely, I didn’t even care. It was like on antidepressants when I got fat, they worked so well I didn’t even give a shit. Lol
Ah, If only we could selectively numb....can someone make a new opiate analog to favor love and fucking and not feel pain and anger please...preferably a non-addictive molly/GHB/oxy high functioning combo? Big pharma will create a disease for it quickly, I promise.

I have been a heroin user for almost 10 years, from the time that I was 14 I’ve been till now, which I am 25. My dad has had 7-8 back surgeries and ended up getting hooked on hydrocodone. He basically lost his testosterone as well as his sex drive, and I have also talked to several buddies about this who say the exact same thing, but yet I have yet to experience a loss of libido.

This has always confused me, but I’ve never really looking into it all that much. The only issue that I have had, is whenever it is time to perform, it might take me a bit longer than normal to reach maximum stiffness. And then once I have reached that point, I have basically always manage to stay for the whole duration of sex or whatever is being done, And basically being able to last a literal lifetime, but from my understanding, both of those things are super common.

I am a chronic pain patient and have been on 75 mg a day of MS Contin.
It killed my sex drive. I think @GetMeOutOfThisCRAP is really onto something when he mentioned that opiates unhinge the same mechanism in the brain as when one orgasm’s.
I have noticed that exact thing. It is like the morphine feels like an orgasm at times and so your body is tricked into believing it has been satisfied with an actual orgasm. Reaching orgasm is extremely hard for me being on the morphine.

Surprisingly, I have just been diagnosed with narcolepsy so I will be weaning off the morphine and on to other medications.
The diagnosis of chronic pain was not specific enough. The new specialist who has diagnosed my actual problem has added Gabapentin and that has kicked my sex drive back in hard. I have also stopped taking Ambien and will be starting a taper off clonazepam very soon. I am excited to see where this is going to lead as I am already feeling so much better.
I feel like I am coming back to life.

Gabapentin has really overcome the opiate loss of sex drive for me!

I think you're onto something here too. Your body does release endorphins when you orgasm and endorphins are naturally occurring opioids. Flooding your brain with morphine obviously simulates the same effect.

I notice the same on pregabalin, makes me horny af. Phenibut is the best of all out of the gabapentinoids though.

That is awesome we figured that out!
I have been horny af with the addition of Gabapentin too!!

ALERT for all OPIATE USERS+ use Gabapentinoids to restore your sex drive while using opiates chronically!
You’re welcome!😁

I've never used any opiates beyond a vicodin once years ago, but oddly enough i have this issue when i use methamphetamine. No libido at all besides masturbation.
And even that isn't over the top like those 8 hour jack off sessions that happen to so many other guys on here lol.
