GBL bust

It's obviously always used as a date-rape drug.. When will the media ever cease their blatant abuse of power when talking about these sorts of things..

It isn't everyone fault that there are assholes that walk around.. neanderthals that need to have a round put in the backs of their heads.

ya.

How can GBL be used as a date rape drug really. It tastes like dog shit, vomit, old burnt rubber tyres and melted plastic combined, and smells just as bad.

They need to get over the date rape thing.

There seems to be a lot more traditional rapes happening lately.

Perhaps they should consider giving a castration sentence to all people that commit rape..

Public torture.. whatever it takes to stop the actual process, not the method.

ya.

Charge over importing date rape drug
August 11, 2006 12:06pm

A SYDNEY man will face court today charged with importing 2.5 litres of a dangerous date-rape drug.

The 27-year-old man was arrested by Australian Federal Police (AFP) yesterday during a raid on his Surry Hills house.

It is alleged 2.5 litres of gamma butyrolactone, used to make liquid ecstasy or GBH, was intercepted in two separate consignments in June and July this year.

The parcels, sent through the mail, originated from a business address in the UK.

AFP spokesman Mike Phelan said the case was a warning about the dangers of drink spiking faced by members of the public.

"As we approach the later part of the year and head towards the festive season, this interception is a timely reminder of the reality of criminal activity such as drink spiking," he said.

"The AFP and Customs are committed to the fight against this type of criminal activity and urge young party-goers to exercise care when out at night clubs and other social venues."

The man has been charged with two counts of attempt to import a commercial quantity of a boarder controlled drug and one count of possessing a trafficable quantity of a controlled drug.

He has been refused bail to appear in Central Local Court today.
