i want to be abnormal in a good way and find not being under the influence of any drug makes it hard to fit in or even succeed. this might be hard to answer, but is it a necessity to have some kind of help from any illicit substance in everyday situations to achieve greatness like portrayed by the 8(crap in movies?:?

^ that.

Obviously not a necessity but I guess it does help. Also why would you strive to be 'great' and define it as fitting in or succeeding. There's no shame in the vice versa.

I use them for both pleasure and performance. Depends on the occasion. I don't think of them as being essential to anything other than accelerated thought / energy / arousal. The crash is too much for me to rely on it for anything.

im not even that old but because of some movies cough cough..scarface/wolfofwallstreet..limitless i have made it a priority to obtain drugs. i have manipulated many doctors to get what i want I'm a little ashamed but i see my life improve just by consuming these drugs
primarily benzos/ampetamines

are you really improving your life if it means having to manipulate people and feel shame?

I just want to be happy and be a good person(I'm the biggest stubborn asshole when sober). I'm not perfect though, if a doctor isn't willing to give me a scrip i don't do what a good patient should i admit but hopefully things workout and i do some good for others. I'm the guy who literally gave an 8th of weed that i spent all my money on to a stranger because i like spreading a good feeling. i just wish more people could feel at peace, i get mad that doctors won't give people drugs because they are addictive i just get pissed they have control(I'm controlling ish)

i actually don't feel shame about it, if i want some xanax and the only thing the doctor will ever prescribe is prozac or abilify i don't get it like one of those will make me suicidal and the other just feels like hell. i haven't seen them all but doc i just want to feel better wtf, so i switch psychiatrists and say to the new doc I'm tapering from a high dose or lie about what I'm taking and they believe it

maybe I've said more than necessary but i have been trying to get intoxicated since i was 10 i hope I'm not setting too bad of an example but its safer to buy from a pharmacy than the street

Well for amphetamines I take them for pleasure performance on my busiest day of work. I don't get a high from them and it's not from lack of trying. I'm someone who is always depressed, anti-social and have no motivation or much energy. So just going from always low to the complete opposite for a day, once a week is pleasurable to me. :)

Well, for me, I have genuine problems: adhd, bipolar, schizoaffective disorder, anxiety, chronic back pain (currently untreated and it really hurts!), insomnia, high blood pressure and seizures/extra-pyramidal syndrome. I take Ritalin, Lamictal, Abilify, Klonopin, Oxycodone (when I get it back), Ambein, Catapres, and Cogentin. I don't take these medicines to feel "high" but rather normal. Sometimes I can take a little Ritalin via different ROA for a boost but not often. That's what I have most problems with, as I had a cocaine addiction years ago. I agree though, pharms are safer it's just hard to find an understanding doctor, especially for pain meds. Most are willing to give only gabapentin or Robaxin.

I consider myself lucky that my psychiatrist continues to prescribe everything but the opiates. I would like to add memantine for its NMDA antagonist properties. But it was drug seekers and abusers who originally got first psychiatrist/pain management doctor/addiction specialist into trouble. He was the most caring doctor I ever had and morons had to ruin that.

I think intoxication is natural. Monkeys will wait around certain ponds in Africa to ferment and drink the alcoholic solution. I recently read that ants will even self medicate... Compassionate doctors are hard to find and recent rescheduling and demonizing all CIIs will certainly only create more problems on the street and increase profits for the cartels. Drug prohibition is stupid and creates more problems. Just read about alcohol prohibition and the violence it lead to. The increase in the war on drugs only increases cartel production and spending as well. Demand is going up as legal medications are harder and harder to obtain.

But to answer the original question: I believe most people have genuine problems and have always medicated for centuries. Poppy and cannabis are great examples.

Im amazed how similar we are I'm diagnosed adhd, bipolar, anxiety, schizophrenia, and i also have back pain(almost forgot extremely high blood pressure). what i meant was something like this medicine to be used as a tool for people with these types of issues so life is improved. I'm going to be honest i actually am way too young to choose whats best for me. the worst event of my life happened 9 months ago full on psychosis and 2 months ago a suicide attempt(yeah i know its a scary word, I'm alive! my body can take more abuse than i thought(lucky me;)) because i thought id never get the right medicine...still working on getting xan bars

if i never would have been scripted adderall a while back i never would have been able to ask this hot girl in my science class to dance and then having a relationship
THATS my favorite drug (the girl not the pills)

its the 21st century haha. we discovered such useful and amazing substances if they were all available otc and in pill form that would be beneficial to our society$, motivation? get it in a pill/ stressed? come get a chill pill, if only..........

big pharmacies Could wipe out all that illegal sketchy street shit and maybe fund research!

on a personal level the biggest addiction I've battled is porn that is a c1 substance in my books

talking about xanax... the fact it has a short half life(3hours) is used to make it sound more addictive, or thats the excuse. funny because the quaalude had a half life of over 20 hours!
ativan is like 4 6 hours (shorter than klonopin) that is the least sedating sedative I've ever used! 120mg of ativan didn't do shit compared to 10mg of klonopin out cold.

starting my own quaalude business because pill prohibition, its on the down low shhh! quiet

Sorry, but this is not suited for OD, maybe for Drug Culture (not sure, read their guidelines before posting)
