I've googled this and it is so hard to find a straight answer. So maybe some people can give me their own opinions, based on personal experience or people they know/knew. This is all out of pure curiosity, I barely drink but as an ex-opiate addict I'm curious as to how long it'd take to become physically dependent on alcohol.
I've only known one true alcoholic in my life and he'd drink half a bottle of vodka as soon as he woke up and would continue to drink all day and then he'd drink another one at lunch and so on. He's been like this for 6 years and would get seizures when he tried to stop.
From what I understand for someone to truly become an alcoholic they'd need to be drinking all day, like keeping their buzz on all day.
Would love to hear some some opinions, thank you.
