It was a miniseries on the BBC in the early 80s . . . I've got it on tape, real Dr. Who-ish, but its like twenty five year old british television, too, so that can be overlooked . . . pretty well done considering.

I read an interview with the scriptwriter. The fact that he interviewed himself was amusing and he seemed to have a good grasp of how the movie should be. I can't wait.

I'm fairly sure that this will be an excellent adaptation. Some of the casting choices are inspired... Tim from The Office as Arthur and Simon Jones (Arthur from the original series) as the recording on Magrathea.
I love the idea of Mos Def as Ford too. DA would have approved

You guys should try to find the original BBC radio broadcast from 1981 on eMule, it has some amazing voice actors and the entire broadcast is exceptionally well done.

Yeah the sound FX were the best part, IMO. I want to sample that shit for tracks, because my synth skillz are no match for those BBC blokes.
