This was better than the last. I didn't feel much from it though, everything was far too slow and drawn out and they certainly didn't put much effort into enticing me back for part two.

Part one should have had me walking out of the cinema in anticipation. It didn't.

Yes, it is the darkest film of any thus far but it has to be; this didn't make it any less of a kiddy movie than it should considering the cast have all grown up.

I don't know really, it was OK and I knew it would end half way through but how about more of a cliff hanger or something.

I'll still see part two so as I can close the chapter on this franchise once and for all, not because I can't wait to get back and finish what was started in part one.

One of the best films by far, hence the first 4, the 5th and 6th just went down hill!

I loved the part where they all change into Harry and he's wearing girl clothes and then Fleur is all like to Bill "Don't look at me Bill, I'm 'ideous" while wearing a bra ahahaha.

All in all, I cant wait for the second part! I REALLY hope they don't release the movie in two parts! 7 is the most magical number, not 8!

you've read the books, right? i think having read them and anticipating/knowing what's to come definitely made the ending a cliff-hanger.

i read the books after i saw the first six films and it's amazing how much more i understood after reading the books. after subjecting him to a Harry Potter marathon before seeing Deathly Hallows Part I, my boyfriend said he still wouldn't have understood everything if i wasn't there to explain it.

i thought Deathly Hallows Part I was really brilliant. i agree with Ali that The Tale of the Three Brothers was done really well.

also, in the beginning did anyone else get a false sense of hope when Harry released Hedwig? in the book he kept her caged and, during the movie, i was optimistic they'd changed the outcome when he let her fly.

they couldn't have changed Hedwig. Her death sets the tone for the rest of the book.

i still really liked it though.

^ it's probably silly but it's the part of the books as a whole that affected me the most. it was really heart-breaking and i was dreading it going into the film and how they would depict it. so when Harry released her, i couldn't help but have a glimmer of hope.

if it had to happen though, i felt the film, giving her a more heroic (protecting Harry) than pitiful (trapped in a cage) death was much more honorable to the character's spirit.

agreed that it sets the tone for the rest of the book/film. while i'm looking forward to next summer, it's going to be sad that it's ending!

Yeah I've read them all, albeit some years ago now.

Movie was really outstanding with its adventures world and i got the good experience from this stuff .
