i dont know if i can really muster the ambition to write up a review as of yet, but i just saw this movie and was wondering what others thought of it?

all ill say for now is if you like supermodels, heroin, and tragedy... this is a fuckin fantastic movie!

i saw this maybe several times on HBO and once on DVD. Its good entertainment ...very shocking..and i liked the fact that i knew about the real gia carangi and her background through the magazines i read (yep....my mom keeps cosmo issues from the 70s around and i have some of her on the cover!!!) So watching her movie was a real treat. I thought the lesbian scenes were a bit , un, discomfitting though (i just probably thought angelina jolie was acting a bIT too hard ...anyway it seemed excessive at some points and id feel cheesy after a bit)...but all in all it was a pretty good movie....i mean, i saw it more than three times and didnt get bored!

One of my 3 top fav movies EVER!!! I own it, and have watched it about 30-40 times literally. A lot of times when I'm feeling kinda 'blue' I watch it yet again, and get a good cry out of it. It helps me release my emotions sometimes. I think Angelina was the perfect actress for this movie.
I have heard *a bit* about the real Gia, but was never interested to find out more about her before the movie. Dare I say the drugs played a huge part in this?! 8) But seriously, it shows you how much drugs can fuck you up. But wait. Now I'm being ironic.
To anyone that hasn't seen this movie yet: I strongly recommend it!!

initially, i only saw this movie because angelina was in it and i heard she was naked in it.

with or without angelina, this is a great movie. i later read a biography on gia, and this movie very accurately portrays her life. this movie is definitely one of my favorites, and it's one of the few that can make me cry every time i watch it.

the extended, unedited version is even hotter than the regular version

I really ejoyed this film. i think it was done in a very pleasing manner balancing out the carefree fun of drug use with the reality of unknowlagable drug practaces in the 80's. i always choke up when i watch that movie

i know it isnt necessary to enjoy this movie, but i read parts of Gia Carangis biography (excerpted in a magazine ) and it definitely made the movie experience much more powerful.....she was such an incredibly spirited, beautiful and lonely person.....yeah i cried each and every time i viewed the movie as well.

Everyone I have talked to before about this movie hated it. But I enjoyed it. The movie is on my top 5 list for sure.

hey, anyone wanna see young angelina jolie's boobs? i remember seeing this movie on HBO as a kid--boobs. and why does imdb say this movie is a TV movie?

and holy smokes, i just check her imdb page; she was born in 75. she is only 35 years old. i would have guessed late 40s/early 50s. shit, she burned out quick.

I really liked it. But holy depressing at the end. Great movie all in all though.

And yea, hydro I am suprised at her age as well. I had her pegged for 40's or so. I don't think she's gonna age well.
