Does fentanyl break down into morphine. When using a patch?

No it remains fentanyl and fentanyl metabolite.... The only thing the two share are the receptors they bind to

Edit :I'll add someone who doesn't know that should not be using fentanyl.

No, it's not metabolised into morphine
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9311623
Piperidine N-dealkylation to norfentanyl was the predominant pathway of liver microsomal metabolism. Amide hydrolysis to despropionylfentanyl and alkyl hydroxylation to hydroxyfentanyl were comparatively minor pathways. Hydroxynorfentanyl was identified as a minor, secondary metabolite arising from N-dealkylation of hydroxyfentanyl.

i do not use it. Sa.

Strange, my doctor insists that it is! :)

it really is remarkable how ignorant some medical professionals can be sometimes.
i once had a support worker who insisted that subutex was just orange flavoured methadone pills, needless to say i schooled the fuck out of her :D
