Psychostimulant (methylphenidate)-induced Alterations in Vesicular Monoamine Transporter-2 Function

nihms-58168-f0001.jpg

My library time is almost up, but I need to come back to this one.

Strange, anyone has that study showing beta ketones, or atleast methylene doesnt induce monoamines trough vmat.

Are there differened receptor subtypes? this calls for ppl testing liboline.

Most amphetamines enter vesicles through VMAT2 and cause monoamines to distribute to the cytoplasm from vesicles. DRIs don't do that. But it has been known for some time that DRIs can increase monoamine levels in vesicles -- that may contribute to their ability to raise synaptic monoamine concentrations.
