Opioids Does anyone else get dry mouth and throat from opioids?

Does anyone else get dry mouth and throat from opioids? Codeine specifically? No, there is no promethazine added.. If you do, how bad is it and how long does it last? My mouth actually gets really dry after high wears off and I suffer from irritated throat for the next 24 hours.. Is it due histamine release?

Anticholinergic response. Very common...opiates 101?. Pound a pint of water for every 5 mg.

Yes, it's a very common side effect (and the main reason opiates promote tooth decay).
