I take tramadol daily to combat neuropathy I have. I take 100mg extended release in the morning and 150mg regular dose when I go to sleep. The issue I've been having is with tolerance to the medicine. My bedtime dose has gone from 50mg to 150mg over the past year due to tolerance. Right now I feel tolerance to the 150mg I take, which leaves me feeling in more pain and with more anxiety during the day. If I take 200-250mg at night, these issues are resolved.
Is there anyway to combat tramadol tolerance without raising the dose? I don't want to keep increasing the dose over time, especially since I don't think my doctor will go for it and I do not want to take 400mg per day due to be seizure threshold.
Anybody else deal with a similar situation?
