nice. bet that thing is geared well for hills. only $100 of costs over a decade is killing it.

i got a 90s hybrid off craigslist for around the same price. well over $200 in like 2 months. initial tune up, lights, pump, helmet, a flat, new tires because the tires were from 1992 and when the mechanic showed me were they were falling apart the upsell was successful. front grip gear shift broke a couple weeks ago and the derailleur finally fell out of place today. probably cost more than i paid for the bike to fix, so i’m picking up an off brand cheapo from rei tomorrow and going to attempt to swap out myself. only doing the front. mismatched grips are great. important your bike look like garbage here.

Not really... I need to replace the sprocket lol. It's all worn out and a PITA to shift. I do like my bike tho. It's like an old car, it has character.

High concentrations of HSPs (more generally called 'stress proteins' nowadays) can theoretically make you healthier, fitter, and potentially reduce the risk of (and destroy) some cancers.
 
Nice to see another cyclist , I was clean 8 months till 2 months ago and it was cycling that kept me sane by april/may time this year was fittest I had ever been bought a power meter and was hitting good numbers and improving doing 20 hours a week. have just started again on the turbo and am amazed that after 50 days out the saddle I have retained a fair bit of fitness! I thought I was going to have to start from zero again.

Distance is about 3.2 miles, gonna go up to 5 or so tomorrow. Main focus for now at least is going to be hill climbing.
