Are you using an app like Map My Ride? This let's you see your elevation gain, calories burnt and speeds reached over the course of the ride. Pay some money and you get cadence all kinds of stuff and it records it all for you forever. I really like it to race against my previous times.

Kudos to you for getting out so regularly, I'd struggle to maintain your schedule

No, that sounds pretty cool tho. I do time myself when I remember to (lol) and have set routes that I go on. Thanks for the support.

Almost forgot... As far as keeping a schedule I just sort of made it a habit. Now I don't have to think about it really. Just try to make it a habit and it sort of become automatic.

An app like that would be perfect for you and it's free. I've been using it since 2011 and it's great to look over old times and routes over the years. You can take photo's and make notes on each ride too.

Let's see a pic of your bike. You show me yours...

do whatever you enjoy, but the ability to live gps track your progress will blow up your performance. i don't know if that creates any more happiness -- when people tell me they just finished a 10+ mile run it's like why did you make it so you have to run that far to get the high -- but i would never bike or run without a computer or watch anymore. your brain plays a huge trick on you as you get tired, and it seems like you're going faster than you are.

if there's a screen saying don't let up to beat yesterday's ghost, well you'll either brake down in tears (i've almost started crying when my watch wouldn't stop buzzing me even though i absolutely could not maintain pace) and/or get fucking fast. timing yourself is getting at the same thing -- i used to look at my car radio clock, jump out and run, then hop in and start the car real quick to time myself -- but live progress is next level. pretty sure you can do it for free with a smartphone with something like leet's suggestion, map my ride. personally i swear by garmin. forerunner 220 for life (or late 60s). it also autoloads into strava for me, which i think also offers free live tracking.

Lol, thanks... I try to push myself but I'm no where near in the shape that professional cyclists are in.
Shit brotha, if you keep doing what you're doing ... I can definitely see you getting there! I only cycle in gyms now post-workout haha
