Maybe this has already been shared. Apologies if old news

However for me it’s an interesting use of natural language processing on trip reports and Principal Component Analysis to examine the connection between psychadelic substance receptor affinity, substance molecular structure, and subjective effects in support of hypothesis that many receptor types combine in the (varying) psychedelic experience.

It discussed 42 different receptor locations and 19 different substances broadly categorised as either phenethylamines and tryptamines.

I found it interesting in context of another discussion about minimising SERT binding in medicine choice in order to improve psychadelic experiences when medicated for depresion. Plus it’s a novel research methodology to work around ethical issues with human subjects being administered these substances.

The linked references may also keep some people busy.

god i love linear algebra

this is really cool thanks @Perforated

i'm wondering if any theory driven approaches have expanded on this or if it's all statistical
