So, my friends and I are planning to sip some lean tonight. Are there any possible cognitive impacts??

I assume you mean long term damage? One use is not going to do anything, and codeine itself hasn't been implicated in any cognitive deficits as far as I know. However, the promethazine in lean is an anticholinergic which is a class of drugs that have been linked to various forms cognitive deterioration with extended use.
