You might have supra ventricular tachycardia. I was born with it and had an ablation several years ago to correct it. I used to have palpitations where my heart would beat over 200 times a minute. If the episode did not break within an hour i had to go to the ER for an injection that basically restarts the heart. Had nothing to do with drugs but stimulants were a trigger.
