there steps seem to be leave the thing to dissolve in DCM for days on end ammonia and HCL must be used as sort of changing it between freebase and salt and acetone for a purification final product looked really pure. Those viet dudes had kgs of cocaine in that police bust from the suitcase extracted.

I highly recommend NOT adding liquid acid dropwise, no matter how it’s done it’ll contain too much water which will convert most or all of the cocaine to the nearly inactive benzoylecgonine. Learned this lesson the hard way, the solvent needs to be dried before addition of acid and best to either drip in a dried acetone/HCl solution or gas with dry HCl gas.
