It's about 3 hours iirc.. If somehow you can get an updated blu-ray version I would think it would be worthwhile.

When I watched it a long time ago on vhs afterwards I considered it to be up there with films like The Deer Hunter and Taxi Driver...not quite as good.

Hugo is an underrated Scorcese film, I thought it was exemplary.

I think there might be a few versions of Once Upon a Time in America. The version I have is 3:49 long. Apparently there's an extended directors cut that's 4:11 long and there's a re-cut that is 2:19. I've never seen any version. I think the 3:49 is the most common.

It's on my "Movies to watch" list, but so are about a hundred other films.

Id go either 3:49 or 4:11, if you watch the 2:19 first it would probably ruin the other two.

yeah...it's long..

To the poster
Who said this was typical 1900 gangster behavior. How do u know

Because I know how to read nonfiction?

Also, the word was 'stereotypical,' which is close to 'typical' but not interchangeable. ;)

Let's not forget these movies (Casino and Gooodfellas) are very accurate representations of what ACTUALLY happened. Many of the events (especially in Goodfellas) actually happened. The same with Casino, but with a little more artistic license. Both classics. Masterpieces of our time.

It's funny, I watched a Bronx Tale with a black girl I was trying to sleep with, not even remembering all of the racial parts of the movie. She had never seen it before. She loved it and I got laid.

Ahhh.....to be a young 20 year old man without a care in the world.....now everyday (for years) I wake up and wonder if today is actually worth living or not :(

Sorry about the sad commentary and rambling at the end.

In this situation? 3 likely reasons:

1. fear of retaliation

2. Omerta

3. They really, truly just don't give a fuck

Jibult, please don't feed the question troll. If you'd like to continue, then by all means do. However, if you look at his post/thread-starting history you will see that you are wasting your time by answering.

Just not familiar with him, is all. Gotcha.

....Now I want to watch a sci-fi movie about time-travelling mafia hitmen....

thanks, man

I feel like we're going over the same thing in some kind of loop like some sort of Looper

Looper sounds like a name you'd call a lazy homeless person. Sitting around all loopy all day. Meanwhile Snoopy is getting pissed because these damn bums are ruining "oopy" words.

Maybe it's actually a compliment to her acting, but this was the only movie where I was glad to see a woman (Sharon Stone) get beat up. What a bitch.

I had a girlfriend tell me after we had been together for a couple years that her movie fantasy life was to be sharon stone in casino....

That revelation foreshadowed the future of our relationship.

Casino was a great movie, but the gangster flick, with the same two guys, better cast, better soundtrack, exciting fast pace is GoodFellas, FTW !
