Misc can risperidone stop kratom from working?

I'm on 0.5mg risperidone per day and also 100mg trazodone

kratom just will not work for me or do anything at all. I've tried all 3 strains from 2 different suppliers and experimented with dosing but felt nothing at all.

risperidone sucks, it won't prevent kratom from working but will generally lower euphoria off all drugs. it blocks some dopamine receptors pretty hard.

if you are able to live a normal life on it as opposed to without it then it is worth it, personally when I need antipsychotics I ask the doctor for other ones.

Yes, the risperidone is probably blocking some of the euphoria. Kratom already has less euphoria than many other opioids (subjectively speaking), so i think it's the culprit. Trazadone probably isn't helping either.

If you're looking for pain relief, the kratom should still provide some in spite of the antipsychotics you're taking. Like treezy said, you can ask your doctor for a different antipsychotics med. IMO, there are many newer and much better antipsych meds than risperidone.
