Bupe Can blocking be achieved at doses low enough not to have any other noticeable effect?

So I'm hoping someone can help me understand the blocking affects that some opiods have. Could either methadone or bupe be iv in such small amounts that they don't have any effect besides a blocking effect against other opiates like morphine, dilaudid, or heroin? I'm going to assume not, but I wouldn't know better as I don't understand how synthetic opioids work. I just hope somebody else does and can answer my question thank you

No, there is no way. IV buprenorphine is going to get you high in any sort of dose that's going to block other opiates. Of course, tolerance plays a role in feeling the high. It is only a partial agonist in doses greater than 2mg.

Methadone doesn't actually block opiates. You could take other opiates with it and add to it's own effect.

If you're asking this because you're interested in taking something inactive. that blocks other opiods, then look into naltrexone
