Books you loved when you were younger

the fraggles ROCKED!!!!! i loved them and still do...i'd turn the tv back on just to watch that =D

well i never had any of the books, just love the tv show 8)

They're constantly releasing 'new' one's written by 'Herbert Jr.' although i'm not sure if they're any good.

astro smurf - i'm related to william cole the man who wrote the cole's funny book series, he is may great great grandfather (or something like that)
 
^^that is so rad, can i marry you now? i love his books and my dad used to spend hours reading them to me when i was little!

P.S. did your great grandfather happen to take pyschadelics by any chance? his books sure have some tripped out stuff in them;)

Lots more, though I can't quite remember.
I also loved the "Goosebumps" books and everything by Paul Jennings.

- A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin
- Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit, Tolkien
- Anything by Roald Dahl, but especially The BFG!
- Animalia and The Eleventh Hour by Graeme Base
- Enid Blyton's books
- All the Asterix books! Oh Obelix, you silly fat bastard

I'm sure I'm missing a whole bunch of great books, I used to read all the time :)
 
You had the right idea keej!
- Enid Blyton - all her Famous 5's including the french translated ones! + her other stuff involving boarding schools and binkle and flip
- The hobbit - freaked me out a bit
- The 3 Investigators - Jupitor Jones and his fellow adventurers!
- Asterix
- The Hardy boys
- All Roald Dahl's stuff
- as for the golden books - killing_time i thought 'The Pokey Little Puppy' was the best too as was tootle!! I still have them all somewhere.
- I also loved a book called 'Big anthony and the magic ring' i found it a month back and read it to my mum whilst i was visiting as she was cooking as she was a huge fan of it when i was little and she loved it! :)
