From what I gather bioavailability oxymorphone is 10%, bioavailability of oxycontin 60% to 87%.

Does this mean that Oxycontin works better than oxymorphone?

I think what that means is if the drug is taken as prescribed, as in orally, those percentages have been taken into account, with respect to the drug's effectiveness.. It's only when the drug is taken via other methods, one can see drastic increases in BA. Like oxymorphone has an extremely high BA when snorted.

Bioavailability differs depending on the roa. Oral is 10%
Insulfated is 40%
Intravenous is 100%
