I was talking to a guy who said he took an unknown benzo from friend that came in waves. Like he would be high, and then stone cold sober a few minutes later. Then high again. He said he went to sleep after about an hour so he's not sure when it ended. He said he was sure though that it was a benzo. I had never heard of a benzo that did this, so it piqued my interest. Anybody know would he might have had?

Never heard of that before, but one thing with benzos is that you will at times feel like you're totally sober - so perhaps he was just noticing, then not noticing his inebriation throughout the experience.

Flubromazolam does that. Blood concentrations rise and fall and can produce multiple peak and troughs, meaning blood levels will rise, peak and fall and then rise and peak again. This could potentially happen with other long lasting ultra potent benzos like flualprazolam.
