As I posted in another thread I am new to meth, but certainly not to drugs...

so, each time I get high on meth I have the hardest time peeing and it is painful. It gets progressively better after the comedown, usually by the second day it's fine. I have tried 3 different vendors and still have the same problem. I just think it's weird, anyone offer any insight?

Yeah, I have to piss more on amphetamine and other uppers but it's not more difficult. Opioids now, they make it hard to piss. Might just be an individual reaction to meth, if you don't experience it at other times.

I can totally relate. Amps have always made urination a bit difficult for me while I'm on them, but it has progressed over time into something worse. Slight testicle pain (while high) was the first thing to accompany the difficult urination, but was pretty mild and easy to ignore. I've used meth for about 2.5 years and the testicle pain has gradually gotten more painful but not too bad and only occurs while high. Throughout these 2.5 years I have been a binge user, not a daily user. Binge duration and time between varies, but I'd say on average I binge for 2-3 days with about 1.5-2 weeks between each binge. However for the last 3 months I have been using much more often (I was sober for some time and in recovery, but relapsed and have been going very hard since because i know I'll be getting back on the wagon soon and am trying to get my fill of it I guess (The mind of an addict?!!) So, throughout these last 3 months I pretty much have been a daily user and am to the point where I can sleep/eat on it usually and the high pales in comparison to my binge using days. Now when I use, what was once slight testicle pain, is now a pain in my lower back, and goes through me to my lower abdomen and into my testicles. It always begins once I use and starts in the back mildly and progresses over the next 2 hours until I'm in a state of agony and spend the next several hours moaning in pain on my couch feeling like I'm going to die!
I've done so much research on it and haven't found much. This doesn't happen to most but for some it does. It's starting to get more relevaqnt mecically but at this point I've come to the conclusion from all my research that the meth creates a tension within that mimics the symptoms of testicular torsion. It isn't truly testicle torsion but mimicks because once the meth wears off the pain goes away. (Sometimes they are a bit tender the next day as well but nothing like while you were high.)

I share all this with you because if your urination issue is problematic enough to post about it, you might be a csndidate for what I'm dealing with.

Good luck and be safe

I have done a lot of coke, Ritalin and 4-mmc, not sure the the latter two can be called amps, but I think so. I've never had issues urinating after or during my use. Meth is different, the discomfort is not in my balls, it in my shaft. Like I said it gets better and better as the time passes, one the second day after use, I'll be fine.

What at the hell do I tell the doctor, the truth, I guess?

That's the other weird thing, my first couple times using meph I didn't drink anything(bad, I know). But, holy shit, I had to pee 3 or 4 times during my binge and each time it was a lot of urine. It's just weird.

I find that I piss like a race horse on shards. And nut-tingling highs from it have a potential for a wet ass.

Is it possible your lost control of your ability to relax the muscles that let urine leave. Similar to anticholinergic sympathetic mediated loss of ability to urinate.

Tbis is gjnna sound weird butb have you tried pelvic floor muscles or watching pornography. Normally if i watch porn it causes enough pelvic floor contractsnfor memto regain my abiliy to urinate because when you see sexually arousing stimulusneven if ypumdont get a erection because your on too much amp it causes contractions increasing the pressure on the bladder and activity in that area.

Did you ever find out what this was all about? It's identical to me and still can't find anything

Did you ever find out what this was all about? It's identical to me and still can't find anything

Regarding the OP, it's simply stimulation of alpha-1 adrenergic receptors by the meth, a very common side-effect.

Did you ever find out what this was all about? It's identical to me and still can't find anything

Could be something to do with cremaster muscle spasms, again via a similar adrenergic mechanism.

Firstly, let me say I am not a guy. So I can't relate to some of these theories.

I have watched my partner have troubles with a weak stream when coming off a binge.

Me personally, well at first, I had the opposite problem. Had to pee every 5 minutes. Since I've become more of a daily/maintenance user I've noticed, regardless of how much water I drink, I'm not putting out quite as much as I'm putting in.

I get the feeling it's more of a kidney thing. They are on overload, especially with the vitamin C I take at night. A little caffeine or cranberry juice might help get things flowing.

Also something to consider, vasoconstriction is a unpleasant side effect of meth use. I feel like that in itself might make things harder to get going. Not just peeing but ejaculating as well.

Diuretics, hydration, blood thinners might be helpful. But I'm not a Dr.

It has to do with the way meth increases catecholamines in the body--epinephrine/norepinephrine as part of the "fight or flight" response to danger--same primitive response we have to dehydration/hemorrhage.
Meth causes peripheral vasoconstriction and increases blood flow (at least at low doses) to the internal organs and the "splanchnic circulation" including increasing renal blood flow. When your kidneys perceive that you have increased intravascular (circulating) blood volume, you urinate more to get rid of it. The only problem is that the sympathomimetic effects of the drug also cause constriction of the alpha receptors in the prostate/urethra (in men) and increased tone of the urethra (in women). You can also tolerate a much larger urine volume without feeling like you have to urinate immediately and it is often harder to initiate your urinary stream.

Obviously it is more complex than this, since meth is not a "clean" drug in the sense of only affecting one set of receptors in your body.

I have not researched the literature enough to find out if it also causes central (in the brain--hypothalamus) or nephrogenic (in the kidneys) "diabetes insipidus" in which you otherwise urinate when you are actually dehydrated (like regular diabetes). I really don't think a research team is going to get money (at least in this country) to research such an esoteric point.

The first time I did meth of any significance, I was really surprised at how much I urinated but I thought about the physiology a little bit and came up with this. I ran it by one of my nephrologist friends and he thought it sounded reasonable.

meth puts your PC muscle to sleep. This muscle control peeing, crapping and for men erections. im not a doctor or in the medical filed but id bet the bank that this is at least partially correct

Your bladder neck and surrounding muscles could be so tightened that you literally can't piss.

I have pelvic floor dysfunction and this is basically what happens. Tension and stress locks up the bladder neck

I wasn’t going to comment simcenit was so old but sinc you asked this 3 years later - this is what I know about this from personal experience and religiously bad bladder issues (nothing medical grade besides a wicked uti every once I. While)

so from my experience it’s that a. It works kinda like a diarrhetic in the sense it will wring all the hydration right out of you peeing non stop… until you well stop cause you probably aren’t hydrated any more lol so thats part of it. then b. The acidity in meth 100000% is hard af on the body and bladder especially for those like myself who have an extremely sensitive fucking bladder. I always say I have a fussy ecosystem of a body.

so the only thing that helps me especially on a binge is to drink quite literally minimal 2 liters (64 fl oz) of water per 24 hour period are you going to pee constantly yup but you won’t get blood in your piss from a severe uti due to the acidity levels throwing your entire natural ph off, speaking of ph smart water does have an alkaline water and that does help kinda balance my ph but again not if I’m not staying hydrated.

lastly the hard to pee thing again from. Y own experience is th tensing of muscles like how you don’t realize you’re clenching your jaw but still get sore af etc.

hope this helps some one out there!
