Misc Are home liver test kits sufficient to test for kava related liver damage?

Someone told me they dont check for the ALT things which require blood tests. I know they wont be as accurate but will they give you an idea?

I wanted to use them frequently while using kava to see if there were any changes, something i couldnt do visiting the doctor every few days.

Id still get periodic blood tests done i guess at the doc but these ones could give me realtime testing.

Im talking about the 10 dollar piss test ones like pregnancy test sticks. They say they do for bilirubin and some others i forgot.

It only tests for one parameter of liver function and who would actually trust their liver to some test strips they bought on eBay? I could see if you were in sub-saharan africa but it appears you're in a first world country with real diagnostic testing equipment. If you are using the proper parts of Kava (re: root) I'd think you were being a bit overly cautious.
