Are benzos completely unknown in the UK/Ireland by most people?

There's a whole discussison of kratom here https://www.bluelight.org/xf/thread...hy-no-reports-of-positivity-from-more.892474/

Most people find it's a very hit and miss herb. On occasion I've felt something from it, but often it does nothing, or I suspect it's just the placebo effect.

Never tried Kava, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's banned here. They ban everything
I live in UK, I have been successfully ordering top quality kava from multiple Vendors for a year now, US, Poland, Canada, and New Zealand.

It is not legal for human consumption in the UK, but there is a Kava culture here and I have tons of it.

Very underknown psychoactive herb kava is still.

Kratom is 100 times more widely known than kava.

Kratom is physically addictive, has nasty withdrawals, and other negatives, but despite that, for very many people worldwide, kratom has been a godsend for pain relief for conditions like Arthiritis, Fibromyalgia.

Kava is not at all physically addictive. No withdrawals or physical dependance. It is much cleaner and friendlier to the body.

Kava, the benefits outweigh the negatives, which are not exactly negatives, just that nothing in life is perfect, for everybody, all the time.

Kratom has some- "per se" plain black and white negatives.

Two very very different herbs.

One guy on Kavaforums imports and distributes Kava fully legally, in the UK, as a pet supplement.

I use him as a source for the pet remedy, but I also shop around, personally discovered all my available global options, and get my own kava as well.

Call it initiative.

Many people have successfully quit alcoholism with kava's help and never looked back.

Many other drug addictions too, like benzos, heroin, opiates etc.

Without kava being physically addictive, zero withdrawals, and actually a multitude of medicinal properties- anti cancerous, anti inflammatory and more.

But still, the wide world of medicinal and recreational herb and substance explorers, remains largely unaware even of the existence of kava, let alone anything about it.

-YES EUREKA!
Kava Kava works and it's legal in England I think, search Amazon or Ebay. There all kinds of strains and potency and "Kava-bars" all over, it affects the "gaba system" similar to benzos and alcohol but not as strong.

For me personally it works as a medium strength anxiolytic but it is not strong enough to knock me out, my insomnia needs serious medication basically nothing works a 100% and if it does Im so groggy the next day that it defeats the whole purpose. 😳

People here in Ireland typically don't have a clue about benzos. The last 10 years all i ever heard about them was ''D10s man' with them knowing nothing about it whatsoever.
If you have a brain you should at least know Xanax and Valium. But if you said to say a college student 'do you want some Etizolam, Rivotril, or a Zimovane etc..) they wouldn't have a clue.
The newer generation are becoming familiar with RC Xanax so that could have Flualp or Etiz in it but they wouldn't know what it is, just call it Xanax 2mg..
I'm luckily prescribed Xanax, Halcion and Pregabalin but that took years to get to this script, going thru Rivotril, Zolpidem and others. It's rare that anyone in Ireland gets prescribed any benzo now from an Irish GP as they are third line options after SSRI's or Mirtazipine if your lucky.
The new online benzo's are unbelievably strong, the RC ones. And people in Dublin are selling the ALKO-1's (Nike ticks, Tranax) You probly seen the little silver packets littered all over Dublin
Really only the ones that know benzo's are the older ones. Mammys little helper, moggies etc..
But benzo use is just going to become more restricted imo, esp with the new internet ones around

what effects does Kava give you when you take it?

And I've read that it can cause liver damge - is this just an internet myth?

It's a myth, (or you can get liver damage from the leafs) make sure to buy from a reputable vendor and not the cheapest stuff you can find. I was into it for a while before I got scripts from the doctors. See if you have a Kava bar in London, it's a really nice vibe in those places kind of like a crossover in between a pub and a coffee-shop with out all the smoke!
And they usually provide different strains and concentrated stuff.

it's illegal to sell it for human consumption in the UK so I don't think there'll be any Kava bars, unless they're for animals!

Indeed, @Forever Changes I have never heard mention of a single kava bar in UK. As you say, it's illegal for human consumption, so you would have to take your dog lol.

Kava totally wastes me when I have enough. It is primarily used for anxiety and mood lift, but also depending on the cultivar, can be remarkably sociable in it's effects, similar to alcohol but with a clear and sharp mind.

However I always combine my kava with Etizolam.

One aspect of kava- it very strongly potentiates benzos, and there is a strong synergy between the effects.

Kava can numb you up physically, relax you, lift your mood, it affects brain chemicals like dopamine, serotonin and especially gaba. Best way to learn about kava- nobody ever told me anything about it.

I just read up on it, and started using it to acquire my own education.

Different cultivars of kava, from different vendors, can be like the difference between different strains of weed.

Some are heavy and more knockout. Others are very heady and euphoric and sociable. It can take some trials to find what you like and what works best for you.

There are some kavas here which I am not keen on at all, some which I really like. Even more so than with different cannabis strains.

And yes also as pointed out above by @Random-dude-from-internet Amazon.com do ship kava to you very promptly and securely.

I ordered from them once, buy only from that one particular, reputable vendor.

Beware of just buying any old cheap kava, especially on Amazon.
Better to go straight to a quality, tested source.

The whole liver damage thing- is more equivocation and distortion/misrepresentation of the facts.

Two basic types of kava- Tudei, as in, use only every two days at most, and which causes more side effects like nausea, but is stronger, but essentially in this form is capable of causing liver harm.

Very uncommonly is tudei kava sought and consumed.

And Noble kava, which is what people typically use, and when used not in conjunction with other hepatoxic agents, specifically alcohol, can be perfectly safe for the liver.

Basically, in countries like the UK, there is such a lack of understanding about kava and it's pharmacological and medicinal properties, and this equivocated, exaggerated, part myth about the whole liver toxicity thing, has just served as fuel to make it very convenient and easy to ban it for human consumption.

Pathetic, meddling controlling authority bullshit, outright and completely.

But at the top of the ladder, be sure the hidden manipulating hand knows very well that noble kava is perfectly safe for just about everyone, non alcohol drinkers at least.

Cheers mate :)

And yeah there is a worrying trend where a lot of mass murderers and serial killers were actually on SSRIs or SNRIs. I don't think the antidepressants caused those people to become murderers, but I can absolutely believe that if someone has that urge within them already, the antidepressants can help you ignore the voice that keeps you in check and tells you not to do it.

It's the same with suicide. If you were already feeling suicidal but knew rationally you shouldn't actually do it, it's very easy for something like Prozac to shut off your rational voice and see no reason not to just go ahead with it. This is why suicidal ideation is a known (and worryingly common) side effect of all SSRIs and SNRIs.

Of course doctors are happy to ignore that and shovel them at you anyway because at least you won't get a mild buzz off them like you might with benzos... better to increase risk of suicide than chance someone getting a Valium buzz apparently... madness.
So true!!! What i never got, and i forced myself through Peter Kramers " Listening to Prozac "full Book is that if fluoxetine etc increase the serotonin in the " synaptische Spalt " sorry, only know that one in german, stop the reuptake of serotonin in the synaptic gap (sp)
why dont you feel a sorta MDMA like happiness and why do they even end a MDMA roll?? Wouldnt it be logic that they would intensify it then??? And the serotonin reuptake inhibiting effects were made in the
'70s on centrifuged (sp?) rat brains.

You haven’t been to Scotland then, most deaths in Europe & most are containing etizolam, street Valium. Since the govt stop using getting the boxes the underworld step in to fill the void and deaths have went through the roof, what is to say the white powder the China make sent could loads of RC that ate stronger than etizolam, ‘’good xans’’ are measured by how much flualprazolam, benzos are starting to effect a lot of the UK, Northern Ireland as well, they where 28 million tabs found in kent, but we have 5 & half million people they pills where going else where to.

Crazy how you find benzos arrant big in the UK I use them every day so do a lot of people , take the edge off!

Knowing for certain, from a trusted legit source- exactly which specific benzo you have, plus exact dosages, is obviously vital for both safety, and use monitoringband habit control, tolerance awareness etc.

I get pure Etizolam powder from a trusted Dutch sorce and stick only to that.

No, they are extremely popular and well-known here. Diazepam is just as popular/commonly used as heroin and cocaine. Illicitly, only. It is virtually impossible to get them prescribed unless you have cancer/are in Palliative Care (basically only to ease anxiety when you have less than 3 months to live). You CAN be prescribed up to 80mg of Diazepam a day for back spasms though. Which pisses me off because I could not even get prescribed even like 2 x 5mg diazepam a day when I was suicidal due to having multiple panic attacks every day,
Oh and (as an in-patient in hospital only) they will prescribe you Chlordiazapoxide (Librium) to treat alcohol withdrawal. That the only case they are quite liberal. My withdrawal tended to be very severe because I would drink a gallon of wine and a litre of vodka every day, but they ended up giving me 50mg Chlordiazepoxide every 2 hours, 2.5mg Lorazepam every 4 hours (not a benzo but also 1.5mg Haloperidol (Haldol) 4 times a day).

Booooring.Booooooorrrring.
Shall i say Heil Hitler? I Wont!
A Wolfsangel is a forbidden Nazi Symbol ( Google it!)and 88 stands for the 8th Letter in alphabet, its the Nazi Way of saying Heil Hitler, HH, without being arrested. Wrong Website!

In my experience the older generations know about Vallies, Moggies, and jellies.

The youngins know about Xanax and Valium.

Until recently downers were no longer in fashion amongst young drug users but the Xanax hype from the US has influenced things a lot. It's all the rage right now so benzos have made a comeback.

Codeine is also cool now for the same reason which has pissed me off because it's now a right pain to get a bottle of codeine linctus.

Can't help but find it funny when I was buying etizolam by the hundreds and a few boxes of Actavis diazepam here and there (back when you could easily get that stuff without it being fake) at uni and no one had any clue why I liked them so much because they only liked uppers and Mandy. They'd take Valium or etiz for comedowns but didn't see benzos as recreational.

They asked what the fuck etizolam is. I told them "it's like Xanax." They were like "what's Xanax?"

If I was at uni today I'd be the coolest kid in halls 😂

If you think benzo addiction is " cool ",try stopping. Maybe you have it under control but please remember young, easily mislead kids read here too and you dont want to bring benzos addiction on some young impresonal kid who will then have a lifelong addiction maybe and spend lotsa money cause i promise you one thing, benzos will get increasingly hard to get. And showing off your supply as a mod?

Wilson Wilson,
I like your posts and some good drugs porn is always nice, although i'd rather see sum UK Gear. I was not trying to get at you! I wrote that cuz Bluelight stands for HR and not juicy pics for us older folks who are on it anyway.
No bad feelings, aye!!!

Exactly this. Benzos were more of a junkie circle thing, and then you had the people like me who were the clubbers but knew & revered their benefits because they'd read about them online and figured out how to get them posted from the Philippines/etc, next you had the people who were competent enough to order RC benzos from legal UK RC sites and/or sell them to their mates, and now you have the combination of mass shipments of various RC benzo powders moving round the EU and the darkweb drug markets leading to the once reputable knockoff 2mg xanax bars becoming 2mg etitzolam bars, then those turning into the widely available and cheap "RC benzo bars" which are incredibly popular and well known amongst the youth, leading to calls of a "xanax" crisis in the UK and debates in the House of Commons, etc etc.

Article:

Never heard the term landing gear, but do now love it.

We use(d) to call them Parachutes, like "You remembered to bring your parachute?" often meaning any benzo but diazepam and flunitrazepam were most common, carisoprodol too and weaker opioids like codeine. Paracetamol and caffeine for aches and .."migraines"

Ha, exactly that.

'Xanax' bars are everywhere now, all over facebook/insta too not just the darkweb. I've got a few upstairs I bought from a whatsapp dealer I was linked by someone I know through another forum, bought some others from a facebook page last year. Almost certainly none of them containing alprazolam.

+1 on the landing gear:D

Region is a big thing in this discussion too, Scotland for instance fucking love a benzo.
Any other forums you could recommend?

(not a benzo but also 1.5mg Haloperidol (Haldol) 4 times a day).

I'd be interested to hear more about your treatment with Haloperidol for alcohol withdrawal if you are willing to talk to me privately about it? No names/info or anything, just your experience of the treatment.

Sure. I can't say how well treatment would have gone on JUST Haloperidol (I imagine not well, I think you'd still seizure) because I was on a very high dose of two different benzo's, but I think it stopped me from hallucinating and possibly aided in sleep.
