Hey all

Just wondering what anyone here would consider an appropriate washout time to be between a single 25mg dose of fluvoxamine and commencement of 5 mg selegiline per day?

Sources put the fluvoxamine half-life at around 16 hours. MIMS lists 12-13 hours after a single dose.

My calculations put it at 5 days or thereabouts. Anyone have anything to offer?

Sounds OK. If you're worried, as fluvoxamine is a weak base, you could take a urine acidifier such as ammonium chloride to aid in hastening the elimination.

I'm not hugely worried... The literature has multiple reports of people taking SSRIs AND selegiline together (for some strange reason), with few ill effects. Major exception to this is fluoxetine, for which the literature has a significant number of mentions. Fluoxetine is the least selective SSRI, so that's not surprising.
