Any younger people that have gotten scripted Ambien?

i said i couldnt sleep and got a 3 month script of 30x 15mg temazepams a month

id take a football over 1 of those tho....i find xanax to be much more recreational

as far as ambien, makes me hallucinate not sleep

16- temazepam 25x10mg (too lower dose to be effective.) and then stilnox (ambien) 20x10mg. doctors orders. The zolpidem was great til it stopped working.
19- lorazepam and sometimes nitrazepam, my choice really.. tough one too. Just build some trust with your doctor and aslong as he aint a quack and your not being stupid with it, it shouldnt be problem if you need it. My advice is use it as little as possible or not at all, but if you cant sleep man what do ya do?

I was prescribed generic Stilnox a few months after I turned 17. I only got a prescription for 10x 10mg though, because I couldn't sleep due to the generic Ritalin I was taking, which I was also prescribed at 16. When I was 17, I was prescribed dex-amphetamine, and also got a prescription for 20x 10mg generic Normison to help me fall asleep during the first weeks of taking my newly prescribed dexies. And 6 months later, when I was 18, I had another benzo prescription, I got 10x 20mg Normison to help me fall asleep because I was upping the dose of my dexies. Then a month later, very severe insomnia hit me, and I got 30x 1mg generic Rohypnol and 20x 15mg Dormicum. My doctor didn't want to prescribe it for more than once, but even before he prescribed me both, I had already obtained a very large (100+) amount of generic Roofies illictly, and also plenty of 7.5mg Dormicum (~40). So by the time all my Dormicum and generic Roofies had run out, I was stuck with a very nast physical addiction to benzo's. My doctor would only prescribed me both of them once, as a temporary solution. But in the first week of February, I had an exam period, and I really needed to be able to sleep, so he prescribed me 15x 1mg generic Rohypnol again. After that, I was really stuck with nasty physical addiction, and so I was put on a Librium tapering scheme, to slowly wean me of benzo's. I was still 18 when I was put on Librium, and I still am 18. After 4 months of tapering, I finally quit Librium, but the withdrawls were still a bitch, depersonalisation, derealisation, tremor, occasional shaking limbs, the whole lot, even a semi-psychotic brake down. So I quickly went back on taking Librium, but only for 3 days, when I decided to go through ketamine detoxification. I took 4 high doses of ketamine, spread over 5 days, and it worked. I'm now 8 days after stopping, but even more if you consider the fact that between the first time I stopped, which was for 8 days, I only took 10mg Librium the first night, and 5mg in the following 2 nights, which where neglecteble amounts, so in theory I've been of the benzo's for almost 20 days. I've had only had a bit of insomnia, but taking 7.5mg Mirtazapine and 50mg Diphenhydramine was pretty useful overcoming the insomnia. Ketamine detox for benzo's really works miracously well! I'm going a bit offtopic though, but I though it would be useful for other to include it ...

In my opinion, something like nitrazepam or temazepam will only be perscribed after all other methods have been ineffective and exhausted. I went through : Melatonin, Zopiclone(worked for a while, fun to, but eventually it stopped working, bizzare), valerian, kava kava, seroquel, trazadone, lorazepam, clonazepam, bromazepam, gravol.
Some of these worked, but the side effects were severe, I'm on 30 mg a night now of temazepam, and I don't abuse it, it's very effective, but it's only a last resort (benzos) where I live.

these sort of "debates" fit best in BDD.

there it goes:

I got temazepam the first time I asked for it as well, and I was 17 at that time. It just depends on the doc you ask it, my normal GP wouldn't prescibe it, no matter what, but my ADD/ADHD specialist did.

I'm 18 and have been prescribed ambien, then restoril, now lunesta. But I am also in the military, so it was prescribed by a military doctor.

Back home when I was 17 I was prescribed ambien and restoril by a civ doctor.

Good luck, insomnia's a bitch sometimes..

I'm 18 and I'm on Ambien.

Woopy dee fucking doo tho it sucks when you're completely reliant on it to sleep.
Yeah, I second that.

I'm 18 and I've been taking Ambien every night since I was 16 or so? I was prescribed Klonopin when I was in 4th grade. Crazy.

I am 21 currently. My doctor's office is like a walmart. Come in blah blah (2min.) walk out with my scripts for next 2 months. I have been on Xanax and Ambien every single day for a little over 4 years now. I take 30_60mg zolpidem a day now. and 4 Mg xanax. Not jack your thread just and add note.. Has anyone ever come off this combo..I have had withdrawals from many other long term abuse. But when i miss getting my scripts filled and run out for less thatn 24hrs. i feel like death...quite literally. I think everyone one of my friends parents get a script as well.. and my friends have doctor shopped trying to get it, with no luck. I have Chronic insomnia though so. Anywho yea good ole life stories

when i was 22 i finally sought help with sleep....i have had terrible insomnia since i was a child....my doc gave me ativan....i think doctors are more willing to prescribe ambien than a benzodiazepim....my new doc refuses to script benzos so i get ambien 10mgs....they work well...i would say they work better than ativan....hope you get some rest;)

I got ambien prescribed when I was 20 at my college clinic... it was fairly easy, I just said I couldn't sleep and it was impacting my studies in a negative manner.

But then when I went back to get a refill I mentioned that I was having anxiety problems and that was making it difficult to sleep. It was a different doc at the clinic this time and she said she didn't feel comfortable prescribing it because anxiety is a psychological disorder that she isn't trained to treat. Bitch... I just want to fall asleep what the fuck did she think was going to happen? :X

my wife first got ambien at 24 and I was 28. I remeber the first time we did it. We didnt know anything about it and she just got some free samples from her Dr. We each do 1 10mg pill and we start watching tv. Neither of us knew it would fuck us up and we were sitting there waiting to fall asleep. 15 minutes later my wife says she feels fucked up, I told her I feel weird and she said grab the samples we are doing more...the rest is history!

"My doctor claims that Ambien "doesnt promote restorative sleep" fuck that."

yeah, fuck that...sleep is so important, especially for someone with anxiety, no matter what your age....ativan does not promote restorative sleep....nothing does....the only thing that will help is a long acting sleep med....i.e. ambien CR...

I was scripted ambein from my psych when i was 13 or so . so the answer is yes i suppose .

so, are you saying the ativan doesn't help you 'fall' asleep? actually, restorative sleep is only accomplished after at least 4 hours of being asleep.....i know because i have alph eeg abnormality which prevents me from going into stage 4 sleep....at one point in my life, i was so tired i would stay in bed for 14 hours but i never really slept....my anxiety levels got worse and worse as the days (and eventually years) went on without sleep.....i am surprised that your doc would rather give ativan than ambien......my current doc will not give benzos.....and like i said, the ativan never helped as much as the ambien....i think ativan is not meant to be for sleep, but rather for anxiety....i hope you find some relief:\

sounds like you need a new doctor my friend......and, i have taken ambien during the day when feeling extreme anxiety(panic attack)....it does help....but i think that these meds were made for specific reasons....maybe you should ask your doc about lunseta (i have never tried it)...maybe he has a different opinion on that....whenever i have my appt's, i research my concerns and take the notes i have written to show the doc....she responds very well to this.....

geez, he sounds like a real prick....totally egocentric....so you educate yourself and he tells you you shouldn't????? sounds like he isn't so secure with his own intelligence.....if it is possible, you should ask your mum to find a new physician for you....

i am scripted gapapentin(nuerontin) which is similar to lyrica and it really does help the anxiety (although i take it for pain).....i take it 3xday.....bedtime is optimal!!!
