Benzos Am I That Overweight That Benzodiazepines Won't Work For Me Anymore?

My mother (who is a narcissist - yet refuses to admit it - ironically she's dating someone who she says is a narcissist and other people have said he's a narcissist too - he even treats her the way she treats me, except he doesn't complain about her weight) claims I have gained weight and "am getting overweight".

My normal weight is 135 lbs. and while we don't have a weigh scale, I know I have lost some weight (the most I gained is five pounds - I'm 5'4" and 30 years old).

I don't eat out often, I only drink when I'm really angry - the last time I drank was December 2018 (even then I don't get hungover and I drank a 1 Litre bottle of Bicardi Breezer - the last time before that I drank was in May 2017 and that was due to a shitty experience at a hospital - I bought a 1 Litre Bottle Of Bicardi Breezer plus two Vodka Mudshakes - I didn't get hungover then either), and I don't smoke or do other illegal drugs (I'm in Canada; I do take Cannabis though, in Softgel form but am right now taking a break from it because of tolerance to them).

I don't get the munchies or eat "bad food" when I take the Cannabis Softgels and when I take the Clonazepam I still exercise and eat and drink the same things I normally eat and drink. However, I am finding that lately, even if I take sixty pills of Clonazepam (that's 30 mg) it doesn't do anything for me!!!!

Could my mom be right? Even if I gained a little bit of weight, could that be enough for sixty pills to not work? They're not expired so I don't know why they're not working - the only explanation I can think of is that I gained weight (even though my jean size hasn't changed).

I really need answers and am hoping someone on here can answer this question. I know that sixty pills would normally knock someone out but for some reason they're not working - and I'm not taking them daily either - I'm picking them up at a pharmacy (luckily I'm on anti-seizure medication so I'm "protected" from having Grand-Mal Seizures from "withdrawal") - the last time I had this happen to me (the pills not working) was in 2011 and 2012, but that was because I was taking them too often due to a very stressful situation I was facing.

Well after tolerance sets in, u stop feeling the Buzz from benzos. Really 135 pounds overweight? Come on there's ppl that weight twiceas much who get fked up off 1-2mg so it's not a weight issue. If u Wanna feel clonaz again u have to stop for a bit AND then u can startfeeling it again.at leastfora bit til tolerance sets back haha

I didn't say 135 lbs. was overweight - I said that I might have gained five pounds. I think I will take a tolerance break from Clonazepam - but I know my anxiety is still high - can a week's abstinence from Cannabis make a difference to your tolerance to Cannabis????

even a few day's abstinence can make a difference with cannabis.

how often do you take clonazepam and what sort of effects are you expecting from it? clonazepam is of the same family of drugs as nordazepam and phenazepam, and are known for producing very little besides amnesia and disappointemtn in some people.

even if you were morbidly obese you should feel the effect of 30mg clonazepam. that is a ridiculous dose. my only ideas are that you are just expecting too much from the experience, or you have some pretty harsh benzo tolerance from overuse of them.

I'm expecting to stop feeling so freaked out. I have several phobias and I can't take anti-depressants. I have found that benzodiazepines haven't ever done much for my phobias -I would take them, then when I had to face my phobia, I would freak out - I would have a full-blown panic attack and leave the room; this happened even before I ever started using them myself (I was introduced to them when I was 14). However with Cannabis, I don't freak out at all - I took some Cannabis earlier and haven't had any anxiety since (I even faced my phobias - medical and insects) several times while on Cannabis and I didn't freak out or have an anxiety attack, while on benzodiazepines I would still freak out and have an anxiety attack, even if I took a high dose.

The only things benzodiazepines worked for me for so I wouldn't freak out and have an anxiety attack is dental appointments and appointments with the Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist in 2009 (he would shove a camera up my nose and I would have freaked out but the Ativan stopped me from doing so). Benzodiazepines still work for dental appointments but it's like that's the only thing they will work for - I have even tried after taking a break (I hadn't even drank alcohol or done anything drug-related but after a four week break the dose had not changed - even though it should have given that I was only using benzodiazepines once a week). Could it be because of my metabolism? It always takes two hours or longer for drugs to work for me (I have timed it) and this was before I "gained weight".

Your weight has nothing to do with this. My wife is about your height and weight and she gets knocked the hell out by 1mg alprazolam. You either have a MASSIVE tolerance or are just expecting too much from clonazepam, which, ime, is the weakest benzodiazepine commonly prescribed.

Everyone is different. Some people get no effect from cpam. Some people think it's amazing at .5mg. I need 2mg+ personally and even then the anxiety relief is minimal compared to equivalent dosages of other BZDs.

I usually take 2 mg too; as needed. Clonazepam has helped me in the past with panic-provoking situations) and I can't take the other benzodiazepines because they either don't work or make me sick, even at their lowest dose.

I think benzos are just not appropriate for you, some people find that they don't help very much with anxiety and only give them negative effects like memory loss, or makes them paradoxically even more anxious.

Ativan has worked in the past for dental appointments and ENT appointments.

I found Clonazepam helpful after being prescribed it by an emergency room doctor. That was in March 2015. In January 2016, my former doctor put me on Clonazepam.

I have taken Clonazepam for dental appointments and other appointments have anxiety about but it doesn't do shit (neither does Ativan) for it.

However, I tried Argyle Softgels from Tweed (I don't smoke) and they have a 2.50 of THC to 3.00 mg of CBD ration. I have tried the Argyle Softgels before and they worked great for anxiety - when I would take them if a bug flew by me I would run - I'm afraid of needles too, but this time when the bug flew past me I didn't even flinch. That's when I discovered that the Argyle Softgels do indeed work since someone commented saying I seemed really relaxed (yet nobody could tell that I took anything).
I tried it once again when I needed to have a blood test done (I had to go to the Emergency Room and figured they would want to use a needle so I took the Argyle Softgels before I went. When I went in, I had my vitals taken the sent into the waiting room. A while later, the triage nurse called me again and wanted to do a blood test (I was there for abdominal pain - I didn't care that it took Argyle Softgels a long time to kick in, I needed something to help me or else I would be screwed, I have left emergency rooms before because they wanted to do a blood test or give me a IV. This time, with the Argyle Softgels they worked - I didn't freak out or have panic attack and nobody could tell that I took anything either (I had to take 10.0 m THC and 12.0 mg CBD - that's four Argyle Softgels).

Whenever I take a benzodiazepine for medical procedures like Blood Tests or anything needle-related I always have panic attacks, no matter how high the dose of the Benzodiazepine is).

I might just stick to Argyle Softgels for needle procedures from now on since they worked for that (plus allowed me to watch "doctor episodes" - Benzodiazepines would never work that way - even if I took a Benzodiazepine would I still change the channel or close the book I am reading. With the Argyle Softgels, this doesn't happen since I don't feel fear or anxiety (almost everything medical frightens me). My family doctor unfortunately won't prescribe anything for anxiety so I was using old pills (that's why I asked about the tolerance - the pills aren't even expired yet; I got them last year before had to get a new doctor).
