Is anyone else drinking a lot more right now? I know I am. Not that I can get access to many drugs any other time normally but just out of boredom I think.

Also just wanted to chat about what drugs I have tried and liked. My favourite is probably ketamine which really improved my depression so much. I cannot get it any more sadly. Other favourite is dexamphetamine prescription meds which I only ever had one bottle of and loved. I haven't tried meth and probably wouldn't. Other favourite is prescribed pain killers like Endone or other codiene-based ones.

I would never try DMT or LSD I don't think as I am very anxious and feel it would make it worse. I might try low-dose mushrooms or micro dosing of them for depression or something. Also does anyone know any therapists or anything which do either MDMA or other medications as part of therapy? I saw an article about it recently and want to look into it.

Nope. It's weird but my combination of psych meds (basically abilify and dexamfetamine) seems to totally kill any desire to drink alcohol. I've been a very big drinker in the past but now I find even the thought of a sip of alcohol a bit disgusting. My psychiatrist says this is quite common on such meds. But he's not sure if it the decx or the abilify or the combination that is responsible.

It's a shame though, because this lockdown is getting insanely boring and the evenings are long and slow with nothing by Netflix and no chill available.

Drinking is gross. Imo.

DMT only lasts 15 mins max. And you don't really get anxious in the sense you do on longer lasting psychs. Most of it is you psyching yourself out beforehand.
Medium dose shrooms occasionally (once every 2-3 months maybe) might help your anxiety. You just have a lot to figure out I think. Low doses I don't think really helped me much.

Just be careful...life is long. Get your shit together before you start optimizing your hedonism. (You remind me of myself, and that didn't work out well).

Generally i don't drink much unless i'm stoned [smack]. But remember when the doctors used to prescribe Benzos at the drop of a hat? It seemed like they almost forced them on you at one time. Try and get a script now, just won't happen. And they were so useful for trying to come off dope. I was shocked to discover the medical fraternities attitude to them now. A complete U turn. I guess i'm getting old.

Yes I do remember. I remember my first script of them after complaining of an ear ache for years and going to specialists - my GP finally gave me a script of valium out of the blue. I was floored but quickly grew to love them. I felt so grown up lmao.

My latest GP was prescribing them as I do now have diagnosed anxiety but only in lots of 25 (instead of the stand box of 50) and even then my last script was only of the 2mg so they were getting stingy and stingier with them. I was only thinking earlier about how they favoured them over barbs as barbs were so lethal apparently. I'm not that old to remember barbs but I have tried phenobarbital powder before which was amazing. I have a pretty bad eating disorder and won't eat in public and I was ordering takeaway and wolfing it down in the middle of the shopping centre on that.

Problem drinker from way back here.

COVID lockdowns have sent me spiraling into a litre a day vodka habit, can’t keep my shit together to stay sober until even 11am each day and I think it’s safe to say I’m no longer a ‘functional alcoholic’

Someone else here mentioned the trials with MDMA to help quit drinking, sounds intriguing but i doubt it would be an easy study to source and become part of generally but you could always source some on your own and follow instructions for dosing online?

Magic mushrooms are in abundance where I live right now, I wish I had the nerve to try microdosing those, but I’m not confident in my ability to identify them.

Weed has been my traditional go to when it’s time to cut back on the worse of the evils.

in my country they declared alcohol an essential service and they also changed the legal alcohol sales time from 9 am to 7 am. lol i've drank beer pretty steady from the time i get home from work until bed and on weekends sometime after noon. i find a project around the yard and use that as an excuse to crack a beer. hahah also since jumping off suboxone 60 days ago alcohol intake has come up a fair bit.

No. I had a couple of weeks off while I was battling the virus, but apart from that, consumption has been pretty consistent...

TBH, I've had worse doses of flu. But it's the longevity that fucks you up. It just keeps coming at ya...
yeah at least a normal flu will pass in a couple of days usually from my experience there is a 24 hour period where the symptoms peak. well glad to hear you made er through.
