alcohol and inverse tolerance

it is possible that alcool cause up-regulation of gaba receptors and inverse tolerance?
 
No. Tolerance and dependence to alcohol is pretty basic textbook stuff.
 
I thing it could be possible in the later stages of liver failure when the liver can't metabolize the alcohol that fast.
