Stimulants Adderall drug test question - levels?

I have a script for Adderall IR 20mg. I am prescribed 2 per day (40mg total), but I do not always remember to take the second dose (and some days I don't take them at all). Can a drug test show the levels in my system, or just confirm that it is in my system the day of the test? My doctor will drug test me to make sure I am taking my meds (first month at new doctor who does these tests - my old doctor never tested me) and I don't want to get into trouble for not having enough in my system. I don't know how any of this works, so any info is helpful.
