Acid during the day?

Half my acid trips have been during the day, or at least start during daylight hours.
i got pretty close to a source (now gone) and tripped with him allot, probably starting at 3-5pm. He was about 45 and above the stories of the remarkable blotter papers around 20 years ago, he was advising me that tripping during the dsay was bad for your eyes. That as your pupils are so dilated, more light gets in and can damage your retina's, so use sunnies if you are in direct sunlight during the day, after dropping acid........................I don't know but I dind't take it too seriously at that time.
Has anyone ere heard this ?
