I've read about this new form of testing being done on EtG and Ethyl Sulfate. I'm just curious if anybody knows if this chemical would produce something similar.

I'm not in a situation where I'm tested, I'm just curious as to if the similar dehydrogenation process done by the liver is what produces EtG or not.

A very small fraction (< 0.1%) of ingested ethanol is conjugated in the liver to produce EtG and EtS, catalyzed by uridine diphosphate-glucuronosyl-transferase and sulfotransferase, respectively. EtG and EtS are excreted mainly in the urine.

not dehydrogenation at work. most drugs with a hydroxyl group will be able to be conjugated to glucuronic acid/sulfated. (morphine, estrogen, paracetamol etc)

So, you're saying that it doesn't produce EtG or EtS, correct?

no, only metabolism of ethanol will do that
