I forgot to take notes when I woke up, so I'm night sure which night(s?) these were from...

Oct 13-14(?), 2019: "Pulled Around Yard"

I was in the back yard of the house where I grew up, being pulled around fast and uncontrollably by two ropes that were connected to a handle of some sort (kind of like they use to steer sled dogs with). It was very scary but I was afraid to let go.

Same Night(?): "Creepy Theater House"

I was in a large building with many rooms that was like a cross between a house and a theater. It was filled with people that I didn't know, and everything had sort of a dark creepy feel to it. I felt dirty and sweaty like I needed a shower, but I didn't want to take one there. I was really depressed and miserable for some reason and kept looking for pills or crack rocks on the floor.

I find it quite amusing. How do you have these dreams? Really, how? And please don't say drugs or imaginary things, thanks.

Me? I've had vivid dreams for as long as I can remember. And because I always found them so fascinating, I started writing them down in my early-mid teens (though not on a regular basis until I was in my 20's). Keeping a dream journal not only helps me remember them, but I think that it "primes" me to have future dreams by keeping it on my mind.

I've tried countless herbs and supplements in an attempt to induce dreams (melatonin, l-tryptophan, alpha-gpc, kava, mugwort, calea zacatachichi, huperzine-a, bacopa monnieri, etc.), but I've never found anything that definitively worked on me.

As far as pharmaceutical or recreational drugs are concerned, I always found them to be counterproductive to dreaming. Alcohol, benzos, opioids, even Benadryl... I either wouldn't dream or couldn't remember them if I did. I think that a lot of drugs surpress REM sleep, which is the most important phase not only for dreaming but for a good night's sleep in general.

I am askin because if I would recall my junkie years, I had some nice vivid dreams too but sober speakin, never ever with so much details and still while I was in my ''Shady Era'' I never had again so much details maybe your brain it's a gift, good for you, I am happy for you that you have them seein your mind and gettin lost in ur own world it's the way to go, fuck reality I love livin in my own world. And frankly? I don't think I am the first one to think bout it too, I mean.. prlly everyone who saw your posts at some point wondered how you get them, still it doesn't make any sense but whatever. But I say this, I did managed to do astral projection few times.

I have way more vivid dreams when I'm sober than I do when I'm on drugs.

People have dreams... dreams are weird. If I recall dreamflyer doesn't do drugs anymore but used to. My dreams are weird as fuck, always have been. I guess my brain is weird. They just happen, I don't do anything to get them.

I was hanging out with Shane MacGowan somewhere and I tried his pants on for some reason. lol That's about all I remember.

It was 2060, and I was living in NY state at the time. And I drove someplace in the Toronto area, because apparently in Canada they fully legalized mushrooms. And I was getting like a quarter ounce or so legally from some sort of mushroom dispensary. They had them in a box. Apparently, in this dream in 2060, I would have also been able to get them in NY medicinally for my cluster headaches/migraines but NY didn't legalize them yet for anybody. And apparently you couldn't get anymore than a couple grams or something at a time. And for some reason, it was a better deal getting them in Canada for some reason. I got them in a big box, not unlike some sort of fast food box similar to someplace that I had eaten at recently..... only it was filled with shrooms. Apparently, they were legalized sometime between now and 2060. And the world is changing, so hopefully by then everything will be legalized and prohibition will be over IRL. Though, I guess there was still some sort of regulation/prohibition as I had driven for like 3-4 hours or so to get more of them than I'd be able to get at the mushroom dispensary in NY state. Because in NY there was some sort of limit on how much you could buy. And then somehow I was at this church-like place up there, in Toronto someplace or in the area. For some reason, it was mostly black people in this church and I was only one of a few white people there. For some reason, I was signing in. I'm not exactly sure what I was there for. Anyways, I was there for a bit. And then I went back to some sort of hotel room.

Apparently, there was some sort of issue with the plumbing or something that pertained to the shower. Septic backing up or something I think, I'm not sure exactly what it was. But weirdly everything was blue for some reason. The walls were blue, shower curtains were blue, everything was blue. The tub, everything. Somehow, the shower curtain wasn't quite working but I got it to stay so it didn't get water all over the floor. Because the hotel apparently was going to charge extra if the walls got wet and got mold in them. I get where this "symbolism" is coming from since my fucking shower leaked until not long ago and there really was mold because of it. That was the end of the dream. Though, I didn't go back to NY right away I guess? Because in future dreams I was still somewhere around Toronto driving and doing different things, no clue what exactly. And then I went back to New York, probably to eat the mushrooms I got from the mushroom dispensary they had up there..... and I had also gotten them from the dispensary they had for them in NY. Was pretty weird in a way, but it was fucking 2060 after all in this whole situation. Also, interestingly, despite the fact that it was 2060..... I was not old at all in this dream. I looked just like I do now. Had not aged even a little. No aches and pains, aside from the headaches (which I get IRL). And this pain that I get in my hip because of a pulled muscle that somehow never really fully resolved..... and sometimes will bother me when I stand up suddenly. But I physically was exactly the same now, despite the fact that it was 2060. Hadn't aged and really nothing had changed. Was a pretty interesting dream to say the least.

I dreamed I lived in a house with thick glass walls. It was bright on the inside, clean and cold like a hospital. Pouring rain outside. Very comforting.

Last night I had the first memorable dream I've had in a while...

Oct 31-Nov 1, 2019: "Prison"

I realized that I had apparently gone to prison voluntarily around the age of 17 because I had nowhere else to live at the time. I was currently free but had to go back for something like a parole hearing to find out if I would be sent back to jail or not. Some fellow inmates advised me to smuggle a shank and gun for my own protection, which I had in my pants pockets along with my cell phone. When I got to the prison, I realized that I had to go through a security check and tried to figure out what to do with them.

I ended up in the rec room playing basketball with other inmates and realized that there was a lot of money (or some kind of bet) riding on this game. I'm not exactly Michael Jordan and kept on missing the shot, which worried me greatly. One other detail that I remember was that the prison staff had written things on the cell windows like, "10 years wasn't enough so we're keeping you here for 15!". It was partly a juvenille detention center and I remember thinking how long that would feel to someone so young.

This dream had a very vividly magical/symbolic feel to it. It was almost psychedelic but more mentally than visually, if that makes any sense...

Nov 1-2, 2019: "Near-Marriage, Waterfalls & Chinese Food"

I was engaged to a woman who was supposed to be a movie actress from around the 1920's-1940's, but she was still the age that she would have been back then (roughly 30-40 years old). She was being very rude to me and I realized that I didn't want to marry her. I got the feeling that I could change my circumstances almost by willing it to happen, without actually going through the process of calling off the wedding and all.

Suddenly I was happily single and standing by the downtown waterfalls. I was looking down at one from above on a bridge and it appeared more like a small stream, but by viewing it through my cell phone camera I could make it look almost like a large wave crashing over me. It felt very cleansing, and I could feel a cool mist coming from it. I took a video of it in this form as well.

I ended up on the city green preparing vegetarian Chinese food on the grass like an assembly line buffet, which I was thinking of selling as a side business if people liked it. This also had sort of an imaginary feel to it, as though I was somehow transforming a few basic ingredients into a fancy meal without any real prep work or cooking involved.

I've had a few memorable dreams lately that I need to post, but my last one this morning was so vivid and detailed that I want to do it first while I have time and it's still fresh in my head...

Nov 4-5, 2019: "Car Crash Shootout, Convenience Store, Etc."

(As I get older, I seem to have more dreams pertaining to my parents and childhood in some way. Although they can be upsetting at times, they provide me with valuable insight into how past events have affected my subconscious mind. When I say "false memory", it just means that it was real in the dream but didn't happen in real life.)

I had a (false) memory of myself and an old friend riding in a truck/tank/train driven by another buddy of mine and getting stuck under an overpass, where the vehicle caught fire. Apparently some kind of terrorists had purposely caused the crash and the driver got in a shootout with them for hours while we were trapped inside. I found footage of the incident and my mom refused to watch it, which frustrated me because I wanted her to understand what I had been through.

I went to a convenience store that was run by a couple of guys who were apparently from whatever country the terrorists had been from. I mentioned the incident to them and they acted suspiciously, which made me think that they were involved somehow. I discarded a soda cup in an alley next to the store, then tried to retrieve it because I was afraid that they had seen me. My childhood stuffed toy kitty was also in the alley and I felt really bad about getting it dirty.

I ended up at some fast food restaurant ordering several sandwiches (burgers & chicken), fries and a burrito to take home. My parents were in the car with me and seemed upset that I was driving too fast. My dad said that my old church reverand's daughter was very sick, and I had another (false) memory of being at her christening when she was a baby. I also saw footage of her collapsing on a basketball court and having a pale greenish color.

While I was eating, I watched online videos about artists and writers who were all troubled and addicted to alcohol or various substances. One showed an old male writer like Ernest Hemingway being very drunk and disorderly in a courtroom or some kind of public building. Part of this related to the whole convenience store situation but I'm not sure how. I ended up back there at one point but quickly left and went back home to finish my fast food.

It was stormy outside and I had yet another (false) memory of being out in snow flurries with an old friend of mine, and supposedly getting high off of them like they were crystal meth or something. I thought that it was going to start snowing again and drove to a nearby parking lot to use the "meth flakes", then realized that I don't even like to do hard drugs and left.

I need to backtrack here and get caught up on some previous dreams before I get to any more recent ones. I've had a lot lately...

Nov 2-3, 2019: "Mom's Office And A Traffic Jam"

(My mom was never a heavy drinker in real life, which makes the first part of this really funny to me.)

I got up in the morning and my mom was acting very irrationally and angry. She said that she had been up all night getting drunk on wine because she had a bad day at work, and started yelling at a couple of other people who were in the house.

I ended up in her office at night, which was more like a small workspace behind a plexiglass window (like the front desk at a seedy motel or something). Her credit card wasn't working and all of the banks were closed, so she tried to withdraw some cash from an ATM machine in the lobby but it was all out of money.

She arranged to have it delivered by hand and a lady showed up in a truck like Brinks Armored. The lady asked me to sign for two Fed Ex-type envelopes, but they turned out to contain checks rather than cash. When I tried explaining to her about the ATM, she gave me a hard time and said something like, "You should have planned ahead. You know better than to expect cash at this time of night!".

I went to look something up online and a bunch of porn started popping up on the screen. The faster that I tried to close out of it, more kept popping up. (This actually happened to my mom at work in real life when she tried to look up tattoos for my dad years ago!)

I ended up getting stuck in a traffic jam on a snow-covered highway late at night, which was caused by a large truck/bridge (a combination of both somehow) falling onto it horizontally and blocking all of the lanes. I got out of my car and started walking down the road on foot, where I ran into an old buddy of mine who was eating some kind of healthy baked "bread crisps" that he said weren't very good. We saw a billboard for something like Spicy Doritos and joked that we were going to get some at the nearest store.

Nov 3-4, 2019: "Nikki Sixx, Drug Den And A College Campus"

I was hanging out with Nikki from Motley Crue at some L.A. club where he had played back in the early 1980's. I was wearing a black leather punk rock outfit (like Sid Vicious or Billy Idol) and suddenly felt really foolish, so I left to go change clothes in my car. Eventually I went to a Starbuck's cafe that sold pizza and deli foods with him and his wife/girlfriend.

I ended in an apartment complex full of drug dealers but not actually using, buying or selling anything myself. The cops wanted me to assist them in an undercover sting operation and I didn't want to be involved in any way. I was supposed to fire a bullet into a metal sign on the building for some reason but refused.

At some point it turned into a college campus that I was living in and the whole drug scene had ended. My ex had started going there as well and I realized that I still had our engagement photo up on the desk in my dorm room, which was more like an open office-type cubicle. I quickly took it down before she saw it.

My dad handed me an old vial of assorted pills that I had supposedly purchased on the street years ago and didn't believe me when I told him that I didn't even remember having them. I dumped them into my hand and tried to throw them away through a large opening in the floor, but they stuck to me like melted chewing gum and made a mess everywhere.

The dream turned lucid right at the very end so of course I started to fly around a large TV room area (to the amazement of my fellow classmates), but unfortunately it quickly ended.

Nov 5-6, 2019: "Clothing Store Job, Flat Tire And A Mafia Bar"

(I watched "The Big Shakedown" right before bed, which accounts for the whole mob theme.)

I had to work the overnight shift at a clothing store that was about to have its grand opening, and I was stressed out because there was still so much to get done. The only other people there with me were one male associate and a female manager who didn't seem to be of much help.

By the time that I clocked out it was about 2AM the following night, which meant that I had worked over 24 hours straight. When I tried to drive away I realized that my car (actually an old red mini-van that was supposed to be my dad's or something) had a flat tire, and I tried to call for roadside assistance on my cell phone.

I kept on dialing a nearby mafia-run bar/restaurant by mistake, which somehow caused me to get locked out of my phone so that I couldn't use it. I also received a somewhat threatening text message asking why I kept calling them, and that's the screen that it froze up on. I smashed my phone on the ground and shattered it beyond recognition, which didn't help my situation any!

I ended up at the bar trying to explain to the mob boss what had happened (I'm assuming that I walked there because my car was still in the store parking lot). He seemed to believe me but wouldn't let me use his phone or help me in any way, which irritated me but obviously I didn't want to push my luck. It ended with me still trying to find a way home.

Nov 6-7, 2019: "Living In A Sci-Fi Show, Futuristic Earth"

I was in a sci-fi TV show like "The X-Files" that turned into real life, and David Boreanaz from "Bones" was the agent in charge. We ended up on a large planet like Jupiter with a purple sky. There were talking primates like in "Planet of the Apes" that seemed to be in charge. There were also various robotic alien insects and other small creatures. None of these life forms seemed to be either particularly hostile or friendly; I got the impression that they were just there and wondering what we were doing in their world.

At night we had to inhale something like ether that was sprayed through a large futuristic "space gun" to knock us out, because we would die of thirst if we stayed awake too long. The lead agent also went through a series of dangerous tasks, like being attacked by alien bugs and having some kind of foreign substances ingested or applied to his skin. One of them involved chewing up a mouthful of metal coins, and I tried it myself but couldn't figure out how he did it.

We ended up back on earth but it seemed to be in the future. There were brutal free-for-all street fights taking place downtown that were legally allowed like in "The Purge", so I planned on staying indoors as much as I could.

Nov 9-10, 2019: "Abducted Woman, Toy Planes And Dad's Old Van"

(TRIGGER WARNING: Alcohol)

I went to the local convenience store and saw a woman being taken out on a stretcher. Apparently she had been abducted earlier and taken to a motel room where she was assaulted. Somehow I ended up with videos of the assault on my cell phone and worried that the authorities would think that I had been involved in some way.

I was watching some guy down the beach who could make a toy airplane fly. It seemed to be made out of Styrofoam with no engine or remote control device of any kind, and it creeped me out a little because I couldn't understand how he did it. Later I figured out how to do it myself and had one take off from my yard, but it still seemed kind of supernatural to me.

I ended up going for a drive in my dad's old van and looked to see if he had left any alcohol in the back to drink when I got home. I found a partial bottle of 2015 pinot noir that was 13% alcohol, a full pint and half-pint of 100-proof vodka, several cans of Budweiser and some cans of "Christmas ale".

I got out to walk around for a while and ended up in a tunnel full of small shrines where a bunch of people were on some kind of religious pilgramage. I started to film it with my cell phone but felt uncomfortable because it was a sacred place. One lady wearing a hijab got upset with me and I promised her that I wouldn't film any more of it. We prayed together and afterwards she gave me a hug. I realized that I was attracted to her and got slightly aroused, which also made me feel guilty because of where we were.

Other random details:

- I started writing a song about a waterfall called "April Springs" and liked the wordplay because April occurs in the springtime.

- I snuck into my ex's workplace and ate her BK fish sandwich, then worried that she'd find out! We were apparently back together again.

- I had a false memory of drinking, smoking weed and using the swimming pool on some stranger's back porch years ago.
