Observations from a Recent Roll

Compilation of Roll Protocols

Just wanted to make this in order to just record some general things that Ive found helpful while experimenting with the most beneficial way to roll the past few years. Mostly stuff I wish I had heard when I started.

Background:
Medical grad student
6 1 ~220lbs lean
Roughly a dozen rolls in the past 4 years (3-4 per year
Dose range: 140-180mg, sometimes redosed once with 80-100mg
Other drugs conbined with: LSD (almost always), cocaine, adderall, marijuana


These are the harm reduction supplements that I have felt have been MOST helpful at reducing comedowns or increasing afterglows:
Alpha lipoid acid
N-acetyl-cysteine (favorite 1/2)
Spirulina
Metformin (favorite 2/2)
Vitamin C (NOT before roll)
Magnesium (for bruxism - NOT before roll)
Paracetam - before roll to increase effects.

Other supps used/tried:
ALCAR
Curcumin
CoQ10
Astaxanthin

For whatever reason I have found that rolls seemed to be dampened by magnesium which doesnt make much sense. Vitamin C, however, is pretty basic knowledge since it lowers urinary pH and increases amphetamine clearance.

I have found, however, that using vitamin C (2-3g every 2-4 hours) after the roll significantly attenuates any comedowns.

Additionally, paracetam does seem to potentiate rolls fairly nicely and may provide some neuroprotection.

For those who experience a diminishment of effects or think that strength of rolls is reduced with use, I used 140mg two nights ago which is one of the lowest doses Ive ever used and rolled so hard I checked my scale to see if it was working accurately (it was).

One other note as I saw multiple questions on the internet with little to no first hand experience feedback but I have used cialis (up to 20mg) the night of rolling and never run into any problems or negative interactions although I?ve never needed it for sex during the roll personally.

Lastly - an empty stomach (minimum 5-6 hours no food) is a MUST in my opinion for an optimal roll.



This is data compiled by myself that has been logged before and after each roll for several years and the protocol has continuously provided extremely strong/clean/consistent rolls every time with no/minimal comedown (usually only if a resize is used) and/or ideal afterglows. Would have liked to see something like this when I started a few years ago so I hope it helps!

Hey man, it sure as heck helps. I, for one, am very grateful for your personal observations, especially since I've only rolled once (on a pretty low dosage) and am planning my second one! Surprised about Vit C as thought its anti-oxidant properties might help. You're not the first one I hear about rolling on psychedelics and might also combine with a low dosage of shrooms for added psyco-emotional depth.

Just to clarify I definitely think vitamin C helps significantly but it will increase urinary pH which will increase clearance and reduce duration so thats why I opt for other antioxidants before/during and hit the Vit C afterwards.

Adding psychs is personally the only way I roll now as it significantly deepens the experience. I like higher doses of LSD (~300mcg) but start low to assess things.
 
I appreciate you posting this as well. Interesting that you also find magnesium to negate the effects if taken before. Your notes have got me curious to try some of those antioxidants beforehand, I didn?t have much luck in the past but I was taking one supplement with both Vit C and Mag contained within.

I?ve done well with my current regimen but could always improve some.

I agree on the psychedelics, I?ll rarely roll without them these days. Usually lower doses to compliment the experience.

The difference with/without certain supplements isnt mindblowing but definitely think its noticable. Ever since after my first roll or two, Ive kept little logs and tried to keep as much consistent as possible and note differences. Always trying to get the most out of the least!

Hi Swim15, can you share the protocol? Dosage and timing?
 
It’s never the same but generally pretty straightforward.

Stuff with a long half life is taken sometime earlier that day (CoQ10, vitamin e, Astaxanthin, maybe metformin).

I generally do a mix pre-roll like NAC, ALCAR, curcumin, piracetam, and maybe metformin depending on timing.

Then +1 hour is the same and/or more short acting stuff so NAC, ALCAR, ALA, etc.

Back at the hotel another round with magnesium, ALA, curcumin, ALCAR, NAC, and vitamin c that I keep taking periodically for the next day.

Doses are typically one capsule or tablet
 
I also know that that is overkill and if I had to narrow it down I would use these:

Paracetam, ALA, NAC, ALCAR, metformin, and vitamin c.

More just experimenting and peace of mind on Mynatt part. They’re all packed into little 2oz zip locks so I throw them back with one gulp of water and it’s easy/non distracting
