I know things like hydro and methadone are rare to find in the uk as pain relief which is ridiculous cus they are cheap and effective but this is from personal experience being a pain patient for years having lived in the states at times. Interested to know your personal ratings/opinions and hope its helpful for people with pain

How do I make a nice chart like that?

For me:

Heroin nasal 10/6/9
Hydromorphone oral 7/3/6
Hydrocodone oral 4/4/3
Oxycodone oral 3/4/2
Codeine oral 1/4/1
Darvocet oral 0.3/4/0.5
Tizanidine oral 0.25/?/0.3
Fentanyl IV (medically administered) 0.25/0.5/0.25
Tramadol oral 0/4/0
Morphine oral -1/4/-1 (causes hyperalgesia)

Haven't tried methadone for pain but wasn't too impressed; I don't find any opiates recreational but I really dislike opioids & they seem to be almost useless for my pain. I fall asleep on h long before my pain is even 50% reduced btw, but I give it a 10 as it's definitely the most effective painkiller for me. Diazepam actually reduces my pain more bc my pain is mostly due to muscle tension, but is not considered a PK.

Um no. Naproxen does absolutely nothing for my pain, not even my horrific menstrual cramps which ibuprofen greatly helps. It seems to be completely inactive for me as is the case with many substances. ONLY some benzos & opiates help my back pain; I've tried nearly everything else, certainly all relevant drug classes. I should add I have a lot of spasticity/constant spasms & tons of trigger points. Lidocaine IM helps but only in one quadrant of my back. I do have some rheumatoid arthritis too but it seems pretty mild, possibly due to my diet. Meds don't help it, except Vioxx which is no longer made.

Imagine the most extreme muscle tension ever. Muscle hard as rock, all knotted up & continuously spasming. Oh & I have 3x the number of normal nerves. Though that is both curse & blessing .
