Dunno if the OP is still watching this thread but here is some sage advice from someone who has been there and through all of this...
First, if you are only clean a month off of meth then you aren't even clear of that yet. Your brain levels of dopamine, acetylcholine etc haven't even normalized yet so saying the lack of T is the 100% culplrit for your lack of energy just isn't gonna be correct, and especially if your meth habit was for any length of time it's gonna take time to get your brain back to any sort of balance. One month is not time enough by far!
it sounds to me that you are a bit on the obsessive compulsive side of things in addition to your addiction issues. Here's the good news about addiction though. Only about 2% of the worldwide populace has the genetic polymorphism that makes them more inclined than others to develop addiction issues. Even at that, the 2% of the people are only affected less than 50% of the decision making process that leads to problematic addiction. The rest, over 50% comes down to poor choices, poor life choices, lack of direction etc. Now the harm reduction/addiction zealots will argue that but the science is clear on it. They've turned junkies into this generation's noble savage and it's big business for them despite the fact that they have 0 data showing that anything they do is the least bit effective! British Columbia, Canada, or as I like to call it, California North without the great weather, has thrown millions upon millions at harm reduction, safe injection sites and even handing out pharma junk to junkies and the end result, a .8% roughly reduction in mortality due to OD. That's right, not 8% but .8%, less than 1%. it was like 8 in about 1100. Now they'l say that's a success because it's 8 lives saved but come on, at the cost of millions and millions of $$$ and countless man hours etc, that's no success! The other thing no one broadcasts is that stats show conclusively that by far, the largest majority of people with addiction issues, that subsequently get and stay clean, do it on their own. No 12 steps, no clinics, no BS, they do it on their own.
That means that the odds of you have the genetic malfunction are slim to none and you can get and stay clean on your own, the odds/study data proves it. Just know it's true in your heart because it is and commit to it. Think of yourself, and everyone else in your life and how proud they will be of your strength and how you'll be able to keep your head up knowing where you've been and how you came through it. I'm not saying to ignore the Test issues but the addiction problem is way more of a big deal at this point and I daresay if your brain chemistry was normalized you wouldn't be freaking out so badly about the Test!
Everyone who has told you not to tell the doc about the meth is right 100%. In a perfect world you could share, and should be able to share all with your doc, and I had one for 20 years that I could, until I moved far enough away and had to find a new doc, what a PITA, let me tell you. But the reality is, in this day and age, most docs are concerned with how little they can do for the most money. They put their kids in private school, drive fancy cars etc etc and I mean wouldn't you if you could, but that comes at a cost, literally, the their patients. They want turnover and complicated cases bog them down. Sad but true. Look at docs like your hook-up. Get what you need and keep it to that. "KISS" Keep it simple stupid!Specialists can be a bit different of a case, especially ones in the mental health field but that's another topic.
So your week of waiting is long gone at this point but remember it was only a week and in the grand scheme that's nothing, less than nothing. Hopefully you are still clean and your TRT/HRT issues are taken care of but never lose sight of the things I have written herein, it's wisdom from living, and that's always the best kind!
