Hello, I am planning a trip to Russia. The change of the environment will almost positively cause a bronchitis, so I want to have meds that usually help me handy. I am not even talking about codeine syrup, since Russians are crazy about anything remotely related to opioids. I usually take an OTC preparation containing guaifenisine and dextrometorphan, but the latter is banned in Russia. Also I take Bronk-aid (banned, too) and benzonatate. This one should not cause problems. Of course I will have prescriptions plus a letter from my doctor, confirming my condition, all translated to English and notarized.
Did anyone had and experience of bringing to this country meds that are legally prescribed to you here, but banned there? Did it cause any problems?
