hemp cannabis ( male plant )

Extraction is a pain. I'm so glad isolate is readily available and cheap.

Like Bagssedd already said, in Austria it's a pretty big thing now, it's not exactly legal to sell it for smoking - in Switzerland it is. In Germany there's also a big market flourishing thanks to the progressive development in especially Austria, which is rather surprising, giving the fact that its government has the most conservative and far rightest coalition in europe.. In Germany it's a bit of a grey area with CBD products. Technically one would need a prescription, but when it's not sold for medicational purposes but as a food supplement or something like that it becomes legal, while still illegal to smoke.
There are some efforts to stop this trend, but I've been to Vienna recently and the city is full of Hemp shops - it has become unstoppable. Legalisation of THC-rich products for recreational use is within our grasp! Kind of sad the legalisation comes through profit-oriented thinking, not because of an objective and serious political debate.. Gives it a bitter taste

Because CBD can be turned into delta-8-THC pretty easy by refluxing it a little bit with an acid in a nonpolar solvent for example :D

Useful perhaps in specific survival situations, I don't know that I find any use in that currently though?

I mean, they do in the sense that you can build a forge from stones and make your own charcoal fuel, refine metal to make your own anvil, figure out an alloy suitable for knives, make a knife yourself, and use it, vs going out and buying a quality knife with a lifetime warranty for $70. The pre-made knife in this case would be bud that already has THC in it or THC otherwise prepared by others. It's certainly not cheaper to turn CBD into THC yourself lol
 
I love CBD and find it unfortunate that both the US and the Netherlands are lagging behind the rest of the world in producing legal CBD. Legalization is necessary for research and advancement.

CBD cannabis is soooo nice. I picked up an ounce of 20% CBD 0.1% THC stuff a few months ago and easily stopped smoking real bud with it. Noticeable effect for sure, and a massive heart opening effect if you smoke enough of it.
 
Im ny opinion, there are a great many things that hemp can do. There are some things that might be better done, some specialised things, with other plants. If you want to know the difference between cbd anf hemp, read this cbd vs hemp oil
