Songs you can barely listen to without losing your composure emotionally

Everything is sustainable mate when you reach an emotional and character equilibrium fo r yourself - you will piss people off, or butt-off them, within reason but when you know yourself as in; you have a semblence of who you are ( as we are dynamic but with an essential core) you will be grounded enough to feel ok, in moving toward what is good for you, slowly and with humility and openness ( sometimes with grudgery and anger). This is being human we are complex - we are not our characters ( that we create or exude) we are how we love, accept and then manage the esssential core of our being with a range of emotions and then fuel and manage our logic and thoughts - from that vanatage of being <3

* disclaimer; I have not been granted the 'god/krishna/Allah/Yaweh/R.Dawkins(joke)/Pinkar/Ghandi/Peterson, or, whatever 'omniscent powers' of thought or, being-status, to instruct people about who or what they are but 'tis but my 2c knowledge and attempt at divulging what wisdom I gained to survive and share, tis all ;)

*I made the *joke parenthesyis for Dawkins, especially because despite his great writings, his being payed-off PR and lack of ethical integrity toward his proffesional role; infavour of marketing, made him worthy of being singled out imho.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me there is probably nothing more powerful than music for encapsulating memories. A song can bring back a moment in time and all the feelings around it more than a picture or even talking with others. It's great to see the tunes everyone is posting. Thanks for sharing.

Always asked what my "sign" is and sagittarius is the response;... oh... that explains it. WTF?
Leaned/learning that balance is key to all and only learned/learn from experience.
Ever thought about ones personality in this fashion?
Take a mirror (a big one) >
Blast it with some decent duck-shot (shotgun) >
Collect all the pieces into a pile >
Each shining facet is a piece of our personalities.
Why focus on such an infinitesimally small "flawed" glint of what we are really made of?

^^ Rantings but some old sh** from way back from childhood....

Edit: This thread is actually helping me get my shit together... imagine that.

"The Living Years" by Mike & the Mechanics. I never gave this song much thought until my dad passed away, at which time it took on a great deal of meaning to me.

He & I had a pretty rocky relationship for many years, but thankfully we became really close for at least the last ten years of his life. He never made peace with his own father, and I know that it haunted him forever.

This has probably been posted by someone already, but "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton is a good one for me.

NSFW:
When my body won't hold me anymore And it finally lets me free
Will I be ready?
When my feet won't walk another mile
And my lips give their last kiss goodbye
Will my hands be steady?

When I lay down my fears
My hopes and my doubts
The rings on my fingers
And the keys to my house
With no hard feelings

When the sun hangs low in the west
And the light in my chest
Won't be kept held at bay any longer
When the jealousy fades away
And it's ash and dust for cash and lust
And it's just hallelujah
And love in thoughts and love in the words
Love in the songs they sing in the church
And no hard feelings

Lord knows they haven't done
Much good for anyone
Kept me afraid and cold
With so much to have and hold

Mmh
When my body won't hold me anymore
And it finally lets me free
Where will I go?
Will the trade winds take me south
Through Georgia grain or tropical rain
Or snow from the heavens?

Will I join with the ocean blue
Or run into the savior true
And shake hands laughing
And walk through the night
Straight to the light
Holding the love I've known in my life
And no hard feelings

Lord knows they haven't done
Much good for anyone
Kept me afraid and cold
With so much to have and hold
Under the curving sky
I'm finally learning why
It matters for me and you
To say it and mean it too
For life and its loveliness
And all of its ugliness
Good as it's been to me
I have no enemies
I have no enemies
I have no enemies

I have no enemies

Arcade Fire - Tunnels
When my now husband and I were teens my parents would ground me and we'd have to steal moments. Later I moved in with him at 15-16 and my parents took off. This all reminds me of that time https://youtu.be/VU_2R1rjbD8
