Methamphetamine - Experienced - Meth as a "study aid"

I just moved back to the city I go to school in about a month ago, and, despite the fact that I know a good amount of people here, I haven't had much of any desire to socialize with anyone. I don't know, I go through these phases sometimes when I become a shut in, eventually I'll snap out of it. Over the weekend I've just been absentmindedly browsing the internet and glancing at my mountain of school books.

So, after a five month hiatus (for work), I took back up my stimulant habit. Specifically methamphetamine, which I have a really solid connection for here in this city. But meth is primarily a social drug, in my opinion, and being shut in & anti-social isn't really conducive to the habit. IMO. So, I decided to see if I could use meth for a productive, functional purpose...I had used stimulants like d-amphetamine and propylhexedrine in this fashion before, so why not meth? I took a few big rips and got to work.

It worked OK. I stayed up all night and read about 100 pages of a textbook I have to read for school (and took pretty meticulous notes), and 30 pages of another book, also for school. The only drawback was the fact that the fiendy desire to take another rip was always in the back of my mind...the constant compulsion to re-dose wasn't really bad with the other stimulants I've tried. It has traditionally been and will most likely continue to be a recreational drug for me but in a pinch it could probably work for academic purposes...consumed orally might be an even better ROA.

Has anyone else tried this with meth?

I haven't tried it with studying, but I have used Adderall/Ritalin/dexamphetamine for all nighters. Meth has that same laser-focus quality to it, but like you said it gets fiendish, more so than the others.

Idk, I'm sure it's possible to use it positively for studying, but I personally haven't tried it yet. :)

bromantane is more useful for study than glass. The effect window is just terrible, focused for three hours, then peripheral stimulation, begging you to do more, plus the fact staying up will only dampen your productivity later. Seriously, vyvanse or bromantane are the way to go for productive study, from one student to another(modafinil if you respond well to it)

^ thanks for the tip. I've actually never heard of that drug before but it looks quite interesting. I have no idea where I'd obtain it, though.

I used to do this for a time and I can honestly say that, while it had its benefits, it was mostly a dumb idea and led me to develop my addiction in a more entangled and stupid way. Basically, if you're gonna use meth you're gonna use meth, no matter what you do or tell yourself, so taking it for skool reasons are just as convincing rationalizations as all the other shit we tell ourselves - taking it for work, for fun, for playing music, for working on your car, for jacking off, fucking your girlfriend, etc. It's just the drug finding a new way of taking a hold of you. What you say about the urge in the back of your mind to take just one more rip is real and it won't go away under any circumstances; that, and the possibility that you end up getting too tweaked to be a very effective student, as that is far too easy to do (at first, at least).

The only way I got to make meth a semi-functional study aid was to turn it all into powder and then mix that in with sugar and vitamin powder which I then loaded into capsules and limited myself to less than a point's worth a day. I didn't always keep my promise to not take more but after a few weeks of daily dosing like that and slamming all sorts of downers 3-6 nights a week to get to sleep I wasn't even the same person anyways and it didn't matter, I was an automaton eating robot fuel anyway so the meth kept me going and warmed that part of my brain up to stop me from feeling bored, and it kept it on until I stopped taking the stuff. Being well into a speed bender is not the same at all to getting amped up on your first couple hits after a dry spell - you become more used to the feeling and effects of it and the whole ritual becomes routine and more manageable, for better or for worse. I couldn't be satisfied to read a textbook on computer shit if I was on my first day of a tweak sesh, but 3 weeks down the line after I'd evened out and had gotten my rhythm with sleeping and eating and the compulsion for redosing yeah, I had that shit down. Proceed at your own risk my friend, it sounds like you know what you could be getting into.

That being said, I probably never would have learned how to write computer code/scripts if I hadn't used meth as a focus and motivational adjunct. And ya know -- I haven't written a single one since I've quit (nor have I gone back to skool)

^ thanks for the advice. Yeah I don't rationalize my use for school or anything like that...hell I don't even rationalize my use for recreation! There are innumerable better study habits out there than smoking/snorting methamphetamine, including, y'know, reading the textbook during the day and getting a reasonable amount of sleep at night. LOL. Some idiots like me choose to do things the hard way, though. I'm an 11th hour specialist. I don't think I could ever use meth as a practical tool for my schoolwork because my schoolwork is a constant obligation which means I'd have to constantly smoke meth, unless I were to do it your way and simply eat the drug. But honestly I don't think I have the willpower to do that. It'd feel like a waste to eat it when I could be smoking or snorting it and getting super turnt up :(

wouldn't you think taking it through some other roa would be better for studying?

I found it pretty hopeless for study as well, aside from occasional moments of productivity. I'm probably the least productive on meth actually. I've tried converting to oral, which is much smoother and less compulsive but still the desire to smoke it made me convert my nicely made capsules back to crystals lol. I find Modafinil generally more useful for study.

Meth is absolutely perfect for me to study. I can sit down and do homework for hours whereas my normal state is too fidgety and severely ADHD. Normally, I can't focus or pay attention but meth makes me zone in. I use it orally and it works perfectly for me.
