(meth) Phlegm Problem after Smoking Meth, Please help!

I'm surprised nobody said this,& because of that I'm sure none of y'all are going to like what you hear. obviously you don't know me but this is not an opinion relative to myself, this is FACT: for some reason it has ALWAYS been and to some small extent an indicator of potency — the coughing up of phlegm. all I know is the better the shit the quicker and thicker the loogies. and I'm not talking it no ordinary loogie, not even the kind when your sick. I'm talking like a straight piece of your lung. thick as hell. I don't know why but for some reason ALWAYS has been the quicker and thicker you hack a loogie generally the more potent the go-go. Meth will always do this. some people more than others. it is totally normal. my experience with MSM it makes a clear gelatinous snot come out my nose when I barely breathe out. nothing close to phlegm. nobody I know shares this MSM thing. Bottomline: gnarly ass loogies is normal when smoking meth. something's wrong if that is not happening. NO JOKE!

I've only lately begun to realize the harder I hit the pipe, the more clear phlegm sh** I get my lungs, and the higher I get. I'm personally convinced that it's not even really smoke, as we might think or say, but more directly a chemical reaction to the dope that causes the a better Hi. How else can you explain how no animals or pets or other nearby persons gets any contact Hi whatsoever from the 2nd hand "smoke"...

you're probably dehydrated . have you been drinking plenty of water? When I'm on stims I usually don't drink enough water and end up regretting it later on.

Yes!! Exactly what I've started experiencing every time using ice. This film covered my gag reflex forcing me to cough. Note I am a IV user.

I get this thick cement shit so thick I'm hacking and coughing for hours before I finally clear it. My small circle of friends had never seen it so bad and had started telling me it was all in my head! I am so happy to find this thread. Will try suggestions

Try gargling with warm sea salt water it clears the phlem out of the back,of my throat and stops the build up as well

I used to get this every time and it just ruined my high. Then one day I heard someone say to to melt the shards completely and not smoke the first rip just blow it out of the pipe and wait for the puddle to recrystallize again. Then your good to go. Ever since i started to do this I dont get the horible phlem from hell. I only do now when someone shares thier goods with thier pipe.
To my understanding, it gets rid of all the harshest impurities and crap the first time you melt it. make sure you do it every time you pack a new bowl. It wastes a bit of product but I think it's worth it to not get that shit stuck in my throat.

So I have a problem with phlegm after I smoke meth (no redose, just one long sesh huffing a point or less and that's it). I brush my teeth straight after, drink heaps of water and all that.. but for some reason, after about 2 hours I get this thick phlegm buildup at the back of my throat, right where my gag reflex is located. Meaning if I don't cough it up forcefully and regularly, then I start gagging and dry heaving (never thrown up but close!). Once I get that gunk out its fine - it takes ages though I mean hours of constant thick phlegm building up. But if I am entranced by some porn scene or something for like all day, I'd suddenly gag like fuck and have to hug the toilet bowl and cough like Walter White season 1. So what can I do about this?? Should I try and get some sort of expectorant or equivalent from the chemist to break this shit down and make my weekends a bit more enjoyable? It happens about every time now and it's really annoying. Gagging and coughing really hurts my high. 8(

I use the same but forgot to take them the last time I spun. The reason i found this thread is because I was googling remedy's. Also don't drink ANY dairy products. It's help produce the mucus that is normally a good thing to help get rid of infection.

I always let my freshly packed bowls melt and recrystallize and blow out that first little bit of smoke like blowing through the pipe backwards softly as it melts and then puddles and don't stop Til it is all back to a crystal. I usually cough up extremely thick solid but moist mucas looking stuff a couple hours after smoking. Usually it is a brown ish but and sometimes it seems to have grit in it.
It takes about 4 or five minutes of hard nasty and totally not acceptable to do in front of people who you don't want to know about your habit in my opinion the extent that it takes to force it out of my throat or whatever looks bad for you to be ok with it and not concerned about it. The problem is recently smoking has also left me with a raw throat and blood in my extremely nasty thick phlegm/mucas looking crap.i have deduced that This buildup whatever it is it must just be a defense mechanism to protect your throat tissue from the dope smoke as it must be harmful to your throat. Regardless of quality,crack back pattern clearity of shsrds. Or even something somebody shook in a bottle and is powder not quite ice grade they all seem to cause the same problem with the few variables like if somebody was scorching the pipe and burning it it seems to produce a more darker thicker discharge. I woke make sure to brush your teeth after you cough up that crap just to help rense anything​out of your throat and possibly discontinue the production of this nasty stuff.
I have found this technique only really truly is effective to reduce the problem to one or two nasty discharge spits per dose. What I mean is don't smoke Throgh the whole night and expect this to help. What I do is keep minimum amount of smoking sessions but not stop a session till I'm as high as I want to be. Then not smoke again till I'm like calling asleep standing up.

I smoked heavily daily for 2 years, and never coughed up anything brown or bloody, I would definitely suggest seeing a doctor.

With so many chemicals out there, there is bound to be a few that at least vapourise at the same temperature, e.g. Isopropylbenzylamine
Also impurities that have a lower boiling point, would vaporise first and hence people sometimes blow the first of the vapour. In the most part, I have come across product that leaves hardly any residue but that is not to say that means it is really pure.

Although a small percentage gets left in the water, for me I feel it is worth it because it keeps me from getting the phlegm as well as lessening the extent of the speed bumps I get on the back of my tongue. I'm not sure how much of that is due to impurities and how much might be due to a cooler vapour, probably depend on the product but anyway I purposely test new batches with a pipe because I can better judge it due to the harshness and taste of the impurities. And on a rainy day you can always recrystallise the bong water and smoke that.

Just my two cents. I have always been about everyone having the right to do their drugs the way they want.

MSM go to the dollar store they sell it. It has the same crystalline form as meth.
