List of FREE Chemistry Databases

It is my HOPE that all concerned find this query appropriate to this thread.... Where does one find data like LD50s, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of chemicals that didn't make it to the "full fledged drug" status? I know that in some cases, there's been no research on it, but in other cases, I can't help but feel certain that the data exists. I don't know if it's proprietary, or restricted in an effort to protect us from ourselves, or what. Any thoughts, references, ideas, notions, whims, or guesses?

The Small Molecule Pathway database. Schematic diagrams of the metabolic pathways of exogenous and endogenous bioactive entities (and some other stuff). 445 to date, and growing. Each map is HUGE and very detailed, and nice to look at too. It beats reading the PHARMACOKINETICS sections of Wikipedia articles.

Edit: This is their homepage. I think the link up there is a back door they inadvertently left unlocked, as it contains 56 pathways that can't be accessed from the homepage.

Video Lectures: Organic Reactions and Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry 14D, UCLA, Winter 2010: Organic Reactions and Pharmaceuticals is a class that provides an in depth analysis of organic reactions, nucleophilic and electrophilic substitutions and additions; electrophilic aromatic substitutions, carbonyl reactions, catalysis, molecular basis of drug action, and organic chemistry of pharmaceuticals.

You are welcome, need to get my post count up anyway, too much looking not enough contributing.

Found this page: http://www.click2drug.org. It has a comprehensive list of resources organized by type. Everything needed for computer-aided drug design, including a flowchart showing the overall process. Pretty awesome.

what would a simpleton like myself need to know about chemistry.. lmao.. nice references..

I suppose I will start my own thread on "free docking, molecular dynamics, and viz softwares" soon-like to complement this thread. But first;

It would be cool if a nice small-molecular (eg potential ligand) database was available in PDB format and listed here. I know some people use combinatorial approaches to generating such databases, but they are often proprietary / expensive. We need to be able to download the entire DB en masse, rather than querying their DB remotely as some sort of webservice. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This is an online chemistry book that was recommended by a member of The shroomery.

Virtual Textbook of Organic Chemistry (William Reusch, 1999) | http://depositfiles.com/files/h5c3qz803

Note: You must click the index.html file. Ignore the rest of the folders and files.

Also, can anyone obtain the following paper for me?

Can you get me the following papers? They're hosted on Springer. Also, you can't post the Springer download link. You have to upload them to a site like DepositFiles (registration not reqauired; one-click upload). You can put all the papers in an archive to contain them all in one upload (e.g. .zip, .7z., .rar) or you can just upload them separately.

I'm also interested in the following ones, but they're books, so I'm not sure if you have access to them.

In the past you allowed us to upload papers for each other as long as we sent in a pm or posted the link publicly and deleted the link shortly after, should we take this as a change in policy?

Mostly it was a few mods and I agreeing bluelight doesn't need the potential legal issues. Supposing that it's sent in a non-public manner (PM's should be fine AFAIK, should have clarified) then there shouldn't be any issues. If you have any questions regarding it please feel free to ask
