Do I need to say anything at all? :)

For those of you who liked playing the Tiger Woods games, here's a free online golf game I found with some unintentional but comical translation errors between Japanese and English.

Has anyone played X-Men Legends yet? I have read a good review, and a bad one now. My classmates think it is good, but then again, they still are played Diablo 2. I hate diablo.

My bigest problems with X-Men Legends were:

1) Most of the characters suck, so you'll never use them.

2) You can't max out the character levels without cheating somehow.

3) By the time you get the really good add-ons (equipment) you don't need them anymore.

Other than that it was a great game.

use Gamefly online game rental company and just buy a 60 dollar DVD-RW drive :D

I've got a DVD burner, I just don't se the need to burn it, if I'm only going to play it once.

Siren: frustrating and boring. Graphics and sound were good though. Thats all I can say. It came out a while ago, but I just got around to getting it at the bottom of my gamefly que. As far as survival-horror goes, very lame. Silent Hill and Resident Evil are still the best. I'm trying Kuon soon, so who knows? this is a genre that really could use some new blood, like maybe someone besides a Japanese software company making one. 4 out of 10.

Ace Combat 5: If you like flight sims, this is one of the few good ones on a console. Lack of online was really disapointing though. But its not something I can play a lot of, just casualy putz with and enjoy before work, like Tiger Woods. 7.5 out of 10.

Merceneries: Playground of Destruction, this game is the biggest suprise in the last year for me. With all the shitty GTA wannabe's that have been released, this is refreshing. While only a T rated game, its quite fun. Not as interactive as GTA, but its found it's niche. Combat is fast and entertaining, and the grahpics are very good. A fresh spin on style of game that needed something new. The vehicles are great, especially the controls for using tanks. It's a little buggy, but good. I find it odd I'm even enjoying a game by Lucas Arts, since I haven't in quite some time. 9 out of 10.

Silent Hill 4: If you like it, you like it. This was $30 new less than 3 months after being released in the US. The combat isn't as complicated as Resident Evil, but the puzzles, style and story are unique and very cool. Disturbing imagry drawing from that style of horror made popular in remakes like The Ring (aka Ringu in Japan). Frustrating at the hardest difficulty, but challenging and disturbingly fun on moderate/normal levels. Give it a try, and let me know if you're not pleasantly suprised. 8 out of 10.

Anyone play Resident Evil 4? I'm curious to get some feedback on anyone who has actualy tried it.:)

I just started really playing games again after a 5 year break. So to me right now, Halo 2 is fucking incredible. I love it so much lol.

I'm building a new computer now too since this guy at work gave me a new processor. I miss playing RTS games. I'm going full blown nerd again.

I'm still playing the old Final Fantasy games. 4,6, and 7 to be more specific, 4 and 6 on an emulator. Playing hardtype/hacked versions of 4 and 6 is fun, as 6 especially was way too easy. The FF6 hardtype im playing right now has Kefka at 2,000,000 hp, and is hard as fuck casting quasar, meteor, and ultima all the time, doing 9999 to the entire party. FF games+ getting high is fucking addictive. Also playing Chrono Trigger and Cross a bit, along with the 3 Fire Emblem games for GBA on an emulator, only 1 being in english unfortunately.

As for current games, GTA: SA is pretty damn good, but havent gotten really far into the story yet, basically just running around, beating the shit out of random people, squashing padestrians in taxi cabs, and blowing cars/people up. Fun stuff.

As for online games, i havent played anything online since Ultima Online in 98-99. That game was fucking addictive.

Re: OFFICIAL console games thread...

anyone got any good games lately?

[/B]

No, but last summer, my friend got a used Xbox from GameStop, when we hooked it up and ejected it to put a game in, out pops midget porno that somebody left in there. We had quite a laugh over it.

Katamari Damacy.

The weirdest, most hilarious game to play, sober or stoned out of your gord. If you think you can handle some japanese craziness, with a perfect soundtrack to boot, this is HIGHLY recommended.
