(PENSACOLA, FL) July 15 -- Pensacola Police are searching for a suspect in a bizarre theft from a Sacred Heart Hospital room this past Sunday morning. Officials say it's the second time within the past couple of weeks that such an incident has happened.
Sunday morning, a patient was in her room being given a morphine drip. Shortly after 9 a.m., a stranger walked into the room, pulled out a pair of scissors, clipped the tube administering the drug, then took the pump and the morphine from the room.
The patient called for the nurse, but by the time she arrived the suspect had fled the building. The patient says the man placed the pump and scissors inside a maroon colored bag he was wearing across his chest and left.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his mid-30's to early 40's, about 6 feet tall and slender build. He had dark hair and was wearing tan pants and a white polo style shirt with a zippered bag across his chest.
